Open up your engine's airways with the AEM Cold Air Induction System. The AEM Cold Air Intake is custom-tuned to boost torque and horsepower on your exact year, make, and model sport compact. Its mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum intake tube and Dryflow filter let your engine take in gulps of cool, clean air for tire-squealing performance.

AEM doesn't rest when it comes to designing their Cold Air Intake. They tune the length and diameter of every system to match the engine's resonant frequencies to let more air into the inlet valves. Plus, the filter is located outside of the engine compartment, so it draws in cooler, denser oxygen for superior combustion. This means more power for your engine across the whole RPM range.

Your AEM Performance Air Intake is simple to install, thanks to its included detailed instructions and full soft-mount hardware kit. It comes in four different finishes to dress up your engine bay. Your AEM Cold Air Intake System is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

Note: For new model year vehicles the AEM Cold Air Intake may still be in "pending" status for CARB exemption. The exemption process takes time, but your AEM Intake will be exempt before your first emissions test.

The intake works great! The installation instructions were perfect and very easy to follow; total install time probably took me an hour. I heard and felt a noticeable difference in my Jetta after I was finished. Goes great with my catback exhaust.

After reading many reviews of this product, I finally decided to buy it. The installation itself wasn't all that bad, it was removing the stock parts that took forever. The instructions that AEM provides are pretty vague and don't really help all that much, I ended up disregarding them and just used logic to figure everything out. After it was installed, my teg started right up and there was no check engine light, so I think it's pretty safe to say that AEM has solved the engine light problem. As for power increase, it wasn't anything spectacular. There's no discernible difference between this and the stock intake in the low end of revs, it's not until you get past 4000 that you start to notice a difference. But then again, one shouldn't expect huge power gains from a cold air intake. It's not really that much louder than stock unless you are really revving your engine. But overall, I would recommend it. There is a difference in power, it cleans the engine bay up, and it is relatively cheap. So if you really want to get the most out of your car, this is a good place to start.

Product is good, makes the Evo X's power change to more mid range. Increased the bov swoosh. Overall nice intake, not much hp increase as a result though. Oh, and the directions from AEM are ridiculous. They're black and white and very vague. AEM needs to step it up on their directions, plain and simple.
