Power Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Performance Brake Kit K1915

Brake pads don't leave dust on the wheels. They do a much better job stopping than the OEM's did. Performance wise, I am very satisfied. As expected, the drilled and slotted rotors are a little noisy under braking, but they don't squeal or groan. You just hear a slight whirring sound as the pads slide across the holes and slots. ***ISSUE I HAD*** Be advised, if your vehicle has rotors that have the bearing/hubs cast into the rotor (conventional spindle with inner and outer wheel bearings), THEY WILL NOT BE ZINC DICHROMATE COATED...NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU. The rear rotors on my 2002 F150 Harley Davidson are nicely holding the rust free silver finish. The fronts are a different story. The front rotors rusted the first day it rained and they continue to rust. Before I ever installed them I contacted the retailer and told them the front rotors were not coated. They assured me they were, but they were not, I know what bare machined cast iron looks like. They asked me to take pictures of them and submit. After a few days, I was told again that all the rotors are zinc dichromate plated, but they said they would contact Power Stop and have a representative call me. The next morning I was contacted by Power Stop and they assured me that ALL of their rotors are plated. I told her that I would install them, and I would be contacting them when the front rotors rust! 3 days and a rain shower after installing them, they RUSTED. I called Power Stop and again, I was told that all of their rotors are plated and that perhaps I received old stock. They sent out a new set of front rotors direct from Power Stop shipped next day air at no charge. Upon receiving the new rotors, I opened the box to inspect, and...you got it, NOT PLATED. My truck came OEM with 20" chrome wheels that make the brakes very visible and it looks like a$$ with rusty, nasty looking rotors on the front and bright silver plated rotors on the rear. My plan is to locate a bright silver industrial high temp coating and apply it to the rotor vents and hub area on the second pair of rotors they sent.
