    I put these vents on my last truck and was very satisfied. Yes, these are stick on tape that goes over the window opening instead of a friction fit inside the window channel. I had a set of those and both fell out despite my best efforts to install them per instructions. These aren't going anywhere! It takes a couple minutes to pre-fit them to get them where you want. Suggest you have a Sharpie available to mark the outline in several places while sorting out the fitment. Once you have those it's real easy to locate the ends and pull the tape from the adhesive and then they're on.

    So far it seems to be a great product. It tool less than five minutes to install. But I was lucky and saw a video of the product being put onto another vehicle. That was really helpful. I was a little skeptical about these being put on with just a tape backing. But it really sticks. When installing be careful, if you don't get it right the first time you will be in big trouble. Just watch the video and you will see what I mean.
