2010 Silverado 6.5 ft standard cab. I bought these because I am 6' 2" tall and can't get anything out of the bed of the truck because I am too short. I bought this particular brand because I don't have my boyish figure anymore. The hiding steps are also great for going off road. These steps are built tough. Looks like 1\4 in. steel. Took me a little while to install the first one(I'm a little slow) but the second one was a breeze. Instructions were perfect. Did I mention I am 60yrs old. Nice job AMP. Will recommend to everyone I meet.

I installed a BedStep 2 on my 2009 Chevy 2500HD truck. It looks great. I really need to reach the tool box from the driver's side and it was just too high to reach. I am 6'2" and 220 lbs and the BedStep 2 works perfectly. Installation was fairly simple and took about 2 hours. I highly recommend it.

The bed step is not made to mount for my purpose. If you own a short bed truck and use a small bed toolbox, then this may be a fair product. I have a long bed and a 26" deep toolbox. The mounting kit for the bed step is for mounting at the front most part of your truck bed. I needed to be as close to the back tires as possible. So I had to custom build some metal products again out of my wallet to make the bed step work for me. I also used redundant fastening techniques to assure long life of my mounting. The hardware that comes with the bed step is acceptable. However the location that is expected to be mounted to is light gauge sheet metal with only one fastener to be used. Most know what continuous stress and rust does to metal. The hanging system needs improvement.
