Your average nerf bar mounts below your doors, provides you with a step up, and doesn't do much else. It would be convenient if your nerf bar easily removed when you went off-roading, though, more so if the step also moved up and down depending on your particular needs. At least one company thought of this, making Iron Cross Plus Step Nerf Bars anything but average.

That's correct: these bars feature adjustable steps that move up and down and bars that easily come off when it's time for extreme off-roading. Iron Cross' patent-pending design ensures that these nerf bars are as rugged and durable as any they make, and the 3" diameter tube with anti-slip aluminum tread plates lends Iron Cross Plus Step Nerf Bars the sort of convenience for which they've become famous. Available in three sizes to fit most vehicles, every Iron Cross nerf bar is made in the United States.

It's okay to expect a little more. Iron Cross Plus Step Nerf Bars are here for people just like you, those that won't accept just any aftermarket addition.

Steps began to peel and rust after only 2 months of use. However, Iron cross was great with the warranty claim and replaced them. Steps and tubes were peeling and rusting after approx. 1 year and were completely replaced under warranty.

Took a while to get from manufacturer, but knew this beforehand. Finish doesn't look as shiny as pictures show. Finish dull looking where packing was; ends and middle. Very well made though, despite the finish.

Iron Cross step look good, but that's about it. The steps are flimsy when you step on them they flex and feels like you are going to slip off. The rail mounting design is just not strong enough to secure it tight and prevent it from flexing. Also the package from Iron Cross was shipped missing the rear steps and the brackets to keep them from flexing. I send them pictures of the problem and I am still waiting to here back from Iron Cross regarding my brackets. I will not be promoting this particular product to anyone.

Instructions were a little vague & the tabs were not easy to thread once in the rails but other than that the install went pretty smooth. I was hoping they would snug up closer to the bottom of the cab. I guess they look OK. My wife says they look fine & that I'm being too picky but now I have to find some way to hide the 2" gap between the cab & the tubes. The packaging was good except there was 3 cartons (1 tubes & rails, 2 steps & 3 hardware) & not all 3 came at the same time. Quality - seems to be pretty good. Looks - are not bad. Installation - could have been a bit easier.

The shipping was not very prompt and the instructions from the manufacturer were not very good, but AutoAccessoriesGarage was real helpful in resolving this issue.

Installation does take a little time since it's installed in "phases" due to the universal design. Nothing was too difficult. It would definitely help have to have a second set of hands, but I managed by myself. The instructions are adequate and all the hardware was included. One tube was dented upon arrival, and AAG worked quickly with Iron Cross to send me another for replacement. Great customer service from both companies. They look great on the truck, but I plan on painting the stainless tread plate black or bed line it, not sure yet. The step is a little "bendy" at the joint where it mounts to the C-channel, but that is to be expected with the design. Just a note, I have a 2005 SuperCab F-150 with the 5.5' bed, and the SuperCrew length tubes look perfect on it. They go just past the cab, but not quite to the rear wheel arch. I think it's a much better look than the tube stopping at the end of the cab.

First of all these steps do not adjust up or down as stated in the description, they only move forward or rearward on the vehicle! Overall not to bad of a product. I was sent the wrong mounting hardware at first, but i contacted the manufacturer and they were very helpful in resolving the issue at no cost to me. The packaging was not the best either, box was partially open and parts were visible inside. Installation was fairly simple, took about an hour.

I like the way these Nerf Bars look on my 2011 F150. I like the look a lot better than a regular factory bar just enough to set you apart from everyone else. I had a big issue installing the steps. The nuts had weld residue in them which made them very hard to install.

They looked extremely good on my truck, couldn't be any happier. I have had a lot of compliments on them. The are very sturdy, probably because they are made in America. I have an 8" lift with 37" tires and they are the right size and make getting into and out of my truck very easy. Well worth the money!
