The instruction sheet was laughable at best and the extremely poor quality black and white photos of the installation procedure were equally pathetic. Not only was this an issue but after attempting to interpret the specific hardware to mount the running board brackets to the vehicle I realized that the self tapping screws (the most critical hardware) were not included in the factory-sealed hardware bags. Another issue was that the brackets were bare metal, not powder coated or even painted. So after applying a primer coat and paint to all eight brackets to prevent corrosion and sourcing twelve self tapping screws from the hardware store for $1.20 each, I hope the running boards will work. Extremely disappointed, especially from a company manufacturing products in America in 2013.

I received my running boards before the AAG order tracking program knew they had been delivered. All boxes and parts arrived in good shape and exactly as ordered. The local truck parts shop wanted to charge an extra $90 for the brackets if I would have bought them from his store, but they were simply part of the running board order I received from A.A.Garage. Seems natural that the brackets would be an integral part of a running board kit, right? (Local dealer loses street cred in my book over this attempt to rob a customer.) Mounted the boards on my 2012 Nissan Frontier King Cab to keep road grit from ruining its rocker panels. The instructions are kind of poor. There were three brackets of one style and one of another with no explanation as to which position (left front, left rear, etc.) the odd one was to be mounted. It took a couple of mounting attempts to figure out that the odd one goes on the RIGHT REAR. There was some cutting, grinding sharp edges and bending of the brackets required in order to get them to fit tightly without gouging the underbody paint - thereby giving rust a head start- but the bolt holes and hardware were correct. The brackets bolt right onto the factory studs behind the rocker panels under the cab. Once mounted, the boards are sturdy and rattle-free. I bought the black plastic ones because MN winters are brutal on shiny aluminum. I had a good experience with AAGarage and can happily recommend this business to others.
