Please note this is for a 2008 Tacoma regular cab with a bench seat. The middle seat belt (which goes over the seat and down) does not disconnect, so there is no way to get it through the hole in the seat cover! I have talked to the Toyota people and they confirm there is no push button release to disconnect it . In the 2007, there was a slot for a key but not in the 2008 . I have tried to unscrew the seat belt from the floor to pull it thru the hole but there is an electrical cable that disappears into the seat and I cannot find a connector to disconnect so I could pull it through the hole in the seat cover. I have searched online to see if there was a way to disconnect the belt , apparently there is a way to drill a hole in the buckle cover and get to a release but I am very reluctant to drill a hole in the cover.
