For all its utility, a tonneau cover is a magnet for scratches, scuffing, and damage. The same thing that protects cargo so well and makes trucks look so stylish can, with regular use, become a beaten up, dented, embarrassing eyesore. Unless, of course, hardworking men and women use a BakFlip FiberMax Tonneau Cover.

The secret to this tonneau's durability is a fiberglass reinforced polymer top layer that resists denting, scratching, and scuffing. Never again worry about your investment being damaged into obsolescence, not when this top layer works with a heavy-duty aluminum bottom layer guaranteed to maintain its structural integrity in any weather conditions and a 2 lbs. core for uniform strength. The simple-to-install BakFlip FiberMax Tonneau Cover features rubber bumpers that protect your truck bed, truck cab, and rear window from accidental damage caused by shifting cargo, and a hinge design prevents rain and snow from damaging your cargo. This tonneau can also be easily folded up into a variety of positions, and even removed entirely, depending on the size of your cargo, and everything is locked away safely when this cover is fully closed by simply locking your tailgate.

Few investments in your truck's future pay off as handsomely as the purchase of a tonneau cover. Ensure that yours survives for a long, productive life by picking up a BackFlip FiberMax Tonneau Cover. Backed by a 3-Year Warranty.

Optional Upgrade: Choose the Standard Bak FiberMax model, or maximize your truck bed's functionality by adding the optional BakBox Folding Toolbox. This truck toolbox is strong, lightweight, easy to handle, and works seamlessly with the Bak FiberMax. (BakBox not available for all vehicles.)

This was installed on my 2004 Ford F150. Other than having to trim support rails to be able to close tailgate the cover fits and works 100%. Looks awesome and functions much better than the old snap on cover. The ability to lock the tailgate and have the cover not able to be opened is great. Keeps items secured. Would like to see a lever or some other device that when tailgate is opened the last section pops up enough to allow tailgate to close. Each time you open tailgate you must unlatch last section to be able to close tailgate.

I've had the BakFlip FiberMax installed for just over a week now. Last night was a severe rainstorm with hail, so it was a good test for the cover. I didn't see any dents in the cover from the hail, and the bed stayed dry -- I'd had a big piece of cardboard in the bed (intended for the recycling center) and it was bone dry, there were no small puddles or any sign of water in the bed. I've seen reviews that mentioned leaking issues, and maybe if you drive through a big rain for an extended period, the cover might leak, but last night's rain satisfied me that this is about as good as it gets. I DID make sure the drain hoses were installed as per instructions, and the dew over the last week caused some puddles in the driveway under the hoses. Regarding installation, it was mostly straightforward. I found some videos online that were more useful than the instructions, which were not bad but not exactly "dummy-proof" as the videos I found. I had just one issue, it was with the clamps that hold the rails to the bed. A couple of them did not "lock-in" correctly, and when I tried to torque them down, they slipped and I had to re-try them. I believe you have to a) be sure the teeth of the clamps lock into the grooves on the rail and b) make sure the clamps are up as far as they can go on the rail while tightening the bolts. I definitely recommend getting help, you need to have the rails held down tight against the truck while clamping them down. As for the cover itself, it was easy to install, although I did have to adjust it around to be sure the seals were even at both the front and back -- the instructions suggest you can just tighten down the hand bolts in the corners and it will be aligned, but I snugged them down just enough and then moved the cover around a bit before the final tightening. No biggie at all, took an extra couple of minutes, but I wanted to mention it because I first thought there was a problem with the cover. Overall fit and finish is great, really classes-up the bed and fits extremely well. Make sure the rails are all the way forward, as it says in the directions, because there is maybe a few millimeters between the end of the rail and the tailgate. Operation is very easy, the panels can be lifted from either side easily. I spent about a week looking at the various covers and settled on this because the BakFlips are rated very highly AND I wanted fiberglass vs. aluminum because we do get hail along with intense desert heat and I didn't want to see dents or paint peeling. Time will tell if it holds up to a New Mexico summer, but so far, so good.

Bought for my F-150 short bed. The unit came well packaged, undamaged. Looks good on the truck. Can't yet comment on performance, water tightness, etc. My only complaint is that there were NO instructions included. The video on the website is incomplete, only covers install of the rails, less the drain tubes. Written instructions are not available on the site either. So I had to guess about the hardware, seal strip, drain tube holes.

Took less than 30 minutes to install and I was able to do it by myself. I can take it off in less time, although since it flips up and out of the way, I don't know why I would need to. Love it.

First of all, cover arrived very quickly. Install was easy and straightforward with really no problems. Haven't been in a heavy rain yet, but confident there will be very, very little leakage if any at all. Also have a sportliner (bedrug) installed, LOOKS SHARP!!!

The cover is as advertised in the videos regarding look and function. I feel pretty good about the security also. I don't think someone could easily pry it open. Installation was also extremely easy. My only complaint for the product is the clamps they give you to use to hold the side rails to the truck. You get three for each side. I have a Ford F-150 and the clamps do not stay on very well. It is fairly typical that I will close the lid and one will fall off. That is my 3 stars for performance and also my overall for 4 stars. If not for that, i would have given 5 stars on everything.
