I chose this cover because I wanted a solid cover to lend some sense of cargo security verses a soft cover. I also have a low profile toolbox that I recently purchased and due to a position change with my employer I need to have both a cover and a toolbox. I think it turned out really great with the lifts I added to the toolbox ($100.00). Toolbox is accessible and although I've only had the cover on on my truck for less than a week we did get some heavy rain several days and had very minimal leakage. Given some time to make a few adjustments I may be able take correct it. So far I'm very happy with this cover and the timely manner that I received my purchase from Auto Accessories Garage.

First off let me say that the cover I ordered arrived on my porch from time of order in 36 hours! Wow! Let me also say that it arrived in pristine condition. With that said, however, it was only by the grace of God that it arrived undamaged... the packaging was horrible! The box was torn open in three places, there wasn't enough padding, and the cover was bouncing around inside totally unsecured. Extang would be well served investing another buck or two in packaging to ensure undamaged delivery. Mine was, however, undamaged. The ad stated that this cover would work with "most" 20 inch deep (front to back) toolboxes. Don't believe it. I already had a 20' Craftsman toolbox (it actually measured 20.25 inches). With the cover mounted as far forward as I could place it while still allowing me to put the key into the toolbox lock and work the paddle-style latch handles, I was 2.5 inches away from being able to engage the rear latches to the flange add-on provided by Extang for trucks that did not have an underrail flange for the full length of the bed (I was installing this on a 2015 Chevy Silverado short box). This was a problem, obviously, as was the fact that the cover hung over past the end of the tailgate with zero engagement of the weatherstripping. So, I ended up having to buy another toolbox to make it work. I bought a 19 inch deep (front to back) Kobalt tool box from Lowe's. This bought me 1.25 of the 2.5 inches that I needed. In addition, the Kobalt toolbox mounted 0.5 inches more forward in the bed... I now had 1.75 of the 2.5 inches I needed. Also, the Kobalt toolbox has push button latches and locks mounted on the sides of the toolbox instead of the rear which allowed me to mount the cover all the way forward and flush to the box if needed. That bought me the rest of the 2.5 inches I needed... and then some. I actually ended up being able to/needing to pull the cover rearward away from toolbox by about an inch in order to make the cover fit perfectly both at the front and at the rear. Once the toolbox situation was figured out (I had already mounted the flange add-on provided by Extang for trucks that did not have an underrail flange for the full length of the bed... this being about a half hour job that required some detachment and trimming of the bedliner) I was actually able to install the cover itself in about 15 minutes. Super easy to install, works and looks absolutely fantastic!!!! Therefore, my advice, if you already have a toolbox that is 20 inches deep (front to back), and you don't want to/can't afford to replace it, you are taking a chance buying this cover. If you haven't gotten a toolbox yet? Go to Lowe's and buy the 19 inch deep (front to back) toolbox with the side mounted push button latches and locks. If you do, you are looking at a toolbox AND tonneau cover installation job that is VERY easy and will take you about an hour and a half. And you'll end up with a great looking, great working combo! Anybody out there want to buy an extra chrome diamond plated Craftsman toolbox that I have?

Dose leak in some spots so be careful of what you put in your bed, it's not 100% waterproof. Helped fuel mileage out from 15.2 too 17.1 on a 6.7 powerstroke.
