Nothing protects your gear like a hard folding tonneau cover, but nothing looks quite as good as a taut vinyl tarp. On the other hand, hard covers can be difficult to install, whereas soft ones don't offer as much security. Worry not - with hard cover durability and soft tonneau looks, the Tonno Pro HardFold truly gives you the best of both worlds.

The TonnoPro Hard Fold begins with lightweight, epoxy-coated aluminum panels and supports that turn your truck bed into a secure, weather-resistant trunk. 24 oz. premium vinyl wraps over the cover, providing a seamless, luxurious look. This double-coated, marine-grade vinyl is specially made to stand up to the elements for years.

Despite its rugged construction, the Tonno Pro Hard Fold is remarkably easy to install. It's shipped to your door fully assembled, so all you have to do is line the cover up with your bed, tighten four clamps, and you're ready to go. No drilling, no tools, no hassle. Plus, TonnoPro backs your cover with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

It does very well in the high winds we often have here in central Kansas.

I purchased the hard trifold to replace a soft cover that would buffet so much the bows would work loose. I haven't gotten to install it yet, but it looks like a quality cover and am anxious to get it installed.

I chose the hard fold because of concerns that upstate NY's snow load on a soft cover would be too much. Got 12" of snow the weekend I installed it on my F150 and it worked well. Stayed weathertight with the snow on it through both slush and snow, but after going through the car wash the inside was wetter than I had expected. For me, its the seal at the tailgate end of the truck - bed side and tailgate - where the seal isn't as weathertight. I've got to investgate whether I can crank the clamps down more, or maybe trim the plastic factory bedliner to get a tighter seal on that end panel. You'd think there's a way to customize the clamp to the inner lip of he truck bed better that the 1" +/1 surface of the TonnoPro supplied clamp. I'll be checking my woodworking catalogs for clamping ideas.

I had a soft, TriFold on a 2004 Dodge Dakota before buying this HardFold. Only problem I had on the Soft TriFold was that one of the securing bracket broke. But it my fault for tightening it up TOO much. Anyway, I liked the look so much that I bought a HardFold for my 2013 F-150 with a 6.5" bed. Got the HardFold figuring it'd hold up better if we get a lot of snow this Winter. Also got it for security reasons since I tend to leave items in my bed. Got it out of the box and man, it was heavier than I had expected. But not so heavy that you can't install it by yourself. I did. It probably took me about 10-15 minutes to install, but that's only because I am a "Perfectionist", and wanted all the Lines nice and straight! Otherwise, it shouldn't take any more than 5 minutes. 10 MAX! I've only had it on for about a month now, but I love it! The way it looks; the way it fits; the EASE of accessing my bed! Two reasons why I didn't give it a Perfect, 5 Star rating: #1-I had actually read a review that pointed this out BEFORE I purchased it: The securing brackets at the Front (top of bed) of the cover should have been placed closer to the front of the cover, by the manufacturer. This would allow more pressure to hold down the very front end of the cover. #2 - I had it on during a long 2-hour drive over a mountain Pass, in steady rain and very cold temps. When I got to my destination, there seemed to be a lot of (what I THINK was) condensation on the underside of the cover. I don't believe the cover leaked during the trip because if it had, my items in my truck bed would have been REALLY wet, and the floor of the bed would have had a lot of water sloshing around. But there wasn't. So I'm pretty sure it was just due to the steady rains and cold air up in the mountains. Other than that, so far-so good!
