Coverking Tailgate Pad

Very nice product. It took a bit to figure out how to thread the straps through the tight space and the bottom of the tailgate, but once I got that, it was fine. It is very sturdy and I tested it out with three bikes, which was great; you could put four or even five. I like the multiple velcro straps with the D-rings to tie down the bikes or other items. Easy to lower and raise the tailgate with the access flap. However, you no longer have the access to the back up camera as it is covered up. Clearly a well manufactured product—the truck-facing side has a smooth almost velvet finish—and a heavy, thick, no-nonsense pad on the part that sits on the top facia of the gate, which can handle any type of cargo, such as lumber, ladder, miscellaneous items that need to stick over the tailgate. So not just for bikes. Compare this with the price of a cumbersome Thule bike attachment (or other mechanical cargo management) and you are way ahead of the game. Comes off in 20 seconds—just the four straps. Ok, maybe 30 seconds! Note that the photos here show three bikes, but you probably could put a couple more. The product is exactly as wide as the tailgate.
