Make plowing your driveways, paths, and parking lots a simple process with the Home Plow by Meyer. This rugged SUV and truck snow plow mounts in just seconds and is fully controlled from inside your warm cabin. With this handy plow you'll clear your drive and be on your way in minutes.

The Meyer Home Plow features Quick-Link mounting hardware that slides into a 2", Class III front receiver hitch. Its integrated mounting wheels let you slide the plow right into place without tools, and there's no extra hardware to leave behind. All models require a 2" front hitch, so be sure to select the hitch option if your vehicle does not yet have one installed.

Choose from three different models: the HomePlow Basic is an electrically operated plow. It features a 6'8" auto-angling blade. The Pre-Assembled HomePlow features an electric motor for up-down blade movement via a wireless remote. Both styles include a passive mechanical design that automatically tilts the plow blade in whichever direction the snow is heaviest.

If you want complete commercial-grade hydraulic control, go with the Full-Powered HomePlow. This plow's hydraulic control adjusts the blade up, down, left, and right with the push of a button. The Power Angle model also comes in either 6'8" or 7'6" lengths.

With rugged 14-gauge steel construction, Dura Slick powder-coat paint, and a sealed hydraulic operating system, the Home Plow by Meyer is ready to take on winter's worst. This plow requires a distance of no more than 13" and no less than 10" between your reciever hitch and the ground - for trucks that are too tall or short, the Drop/Rise Adapters can be used for a perfect fit. Plus, your Meyer Home Plow is backed with a 1-Year Warranty.

Meyer 23250 fits:

  • 2008-2012 Buick Enclave
  • 2003-2008 Buick Rainier
  • 2000-2020 Cadillac Escalade
  • 2002-2013 Chevrolet Avalanche
  • 1992-1994 Chevrolet Blazer

Absolutely horrible assembly instructions! Looking for part K, but there is no part K for my model! Had to find a video to complete the assembly. Took me 5 hours to assemble! See this time and again, instructions for more than one model. Plus the plow is black which the photographer failed to take into consideration! All models should have their own video from start to finish!!!

We live at over 8500’ in the Colorado Rockies and have about 200’ of hilly, side-sloping, uneven gravel drive to clear. Our order was delayed by a few weeks. We received our Home Plow Electric, assembled it (using a torque wrench for the blade bolts at 90 ft-lbs), and installed it on our 2005 Jeep LJ just in time for 18” of snow the next day. That was around February 1. Since then, we’ve had somewhere between 4-6 feet of snow, usually 6-12” at a time, and it has performed just fine. Even plowed out a neighbor’s drive after the snow was old and heavy and about 18-24” deep, and it still worked quite well. Yes, it is not a commercial-grade plow, but if you use your noodle, take your time and don’t abuse it, it works great. It’s designed to plow your drive, not run a business – but it doesn’t cost $6000, either. We found an independent YouTube video that was very helpful with the assembly process. We only needed to make a few minor adjustments – preload the trip springs about 3-4 turns beyond the suggested setting (the default setting was too weak for an uneven gravel surface), and shorten the chain about 3-4 links to enable it to be raised to a good traveling height. One advantage of this plow is that the mounting hardware does not reduce the ground clearance on the vehicle, so if you want to off-road it, it won’t be in the way. Most heavy duty plows have mounting hardware systems that may be stronger, but are low enough to make a difference, and also require a substantial amount of effort to remove in the summer, then re-install in the fall. Plus, since this is a standard 2” receiver, we can put other accessories on the front when not using the plow. We bought the recommended Curt #31028 hitch receiver, and it is very well made. Excellent product, with high quality grade 8 hardware. I highly recommend watching Curt’s YouTube video before installing this hitch. And be super careful with the fish-wires when you install the hitch hardware, or a bolt retainer plate can fall inside the frame. Yes, ask me how I know that. It took a while to find it and get it out of there, as it slid downhill in the frame. Had to use a borescope camera to find it, and a snake magnet to extract it. Not too fun when it’s cold. But it’s not Curt’s fault that my dexterity (or brain) was not up to the task that day. Purchased both products from autoaccessoriesgarage.com. Chatted with a couple of the folks there – they were helpful, and the price was reasonable on both the hitch and the plow. One small thing – they said the plow would come with the caster wheels for moving it around when off the vehicle, but it did not. I have noticed others saying this, as well. No big deal, as we’ll be storing it outside, on the ground. Bottom line – both good products. The only change I might possibly suggest would be to spend the extra $$$ and go full hydraulic, as the electric motor is a bit slow, and if you want to angle it very often, it is manual, and you will need to stop and get out. But that just depends on what you are willing to tolerate/spend. I can live with the simpler, less expensive option, as I don’t need to angle it too often. It still beats the heck out of shoveling two feet of snow – and yes, I also know that really well.

I got the wireless plow, it didnt work unless I stood outside the pickup. So I cut the wiring added 3ft to the control box, and ran it through the firewall. The control box is now under the dash. Works great!

It turns out Meyers changed certain lock washers out for a flat washer, split washer and finished nut combination and the instructions didn't indicate this. Also the parts list in the instructions show 1 ring pin (which is what I got) however when you get to the page in the manual to use it, you actually need 2. I had to go to the hardware store to get the additional part. These things leave you scratching your head and takes longer to install when you have to figure it out. Also you will note that the Meyers Instructions are flawed. If you purchased the electric lift model (which I did) the instructions tell you to skip the pages for the spring assembly and manual lift assembly. Turns out you need the springs (included) so I'm not sure that the Meyers QA crew has ever installed one of these using their own instructions. Now as for the plow. It seems pretty sturdy and easy to install if you realize the instructions are flawed. Note: Buried in the instructions it tells you that the height of your receiver must be between 10" and 13" from the ground. Mine was 13" and the plow tilts excessively towards the front. It will work but getting a 2" adapter in my case is what I had to do to make it work better. Also, depending on your vehicle you might have to add some wire to the harness to reach the battery and the plow. Meyers has cut some corners on this plow which for a few extra bucks on their part would have made my experience much more enjoyable and garnered a better review. The potential is there if Meyers wasn't so cheap. I installed mine on a stock (no lift) 2004 Jeep (TJ) Wrangler.

While I haven't pushed any snow yet since it is only September, the assembly and installation was not complicated. The key fob that operates the up/down function worked well. I plan on building a cradle to set the plow on to make installing and removing easier to do alone. If you just want a plow to do your own property I recommend a home plow.

**Caution** If you are putting this on a Jeep YJ wrangler, (My Jeep is stock, with no lift) I had to custom fabricate a hitch, or get a 12" drop hitch. Installation took longer than it should of, because my son and I where doing it together, and not in a hurry. Should of been 1 to 2 hours. It looks nice and looks like it will work. But it is 12" off the ground. Have not tested it yet. Still Fabricating mounts. All Personnel, tech support, and ordering was great. The only reason I did not mark it as a 5 is that the hitch that is sold for the vehicle doesn't mount low enough for the plow to work... and the only solution I was given was that I would need to have it custom made.

It came with no instructions on assembly and took over four hours to put together through a process of trial and error to eliminate parts. I still haven’t been able to connect the lift to the truck battery because the connection parts aren’t right. My previous plow was a 12 year old Snowbear. I should have replaced it with another Snowbear instead of Meyer.

The major problem I had was trying to get the installation instructions. I chatted with Corey but he was unable to get me the pdf document with the instructions. I had a real hard time assembling the plow also because it came without written instructions. I had to go to youtube to find a video which is incomplete and blurry to figure out what to do. I had to walk into my house to see a small segment of the video to go back to the garage to assemble a small part of the plow then stop to go back to the house again to see another segment of the assembly and so on... I don't understand why there were no instructions in the box. Also, some screws do not fit through the holes and I had to alter.

Have not pushed any snow yet and will submit once we use it for a few good snow events, but overall the unit was as described and expected. Pretty sound little plow, hard to tell how durable the framing will be as there are a number of bolts that could easily fail but more than that, the spring-loaded a-frame (left - right angling and tensioner) is not real impressive as-is. I assume the springs in the unit won't last too long once a little rust sets in but time will tell. Unit was pretty easy to assemble, directions and images are helpful but certainly not the best images for clarity and no real points of reference for whats top and bottom, so you have to look at the assembled unit to really make sense of it. Overall, not too hard to put together.

We used to use a snow blower that took us 45 minutes. Now with the plow, it takes two passes. The plow directions were explicit how to put together and very easy. Because I work for a snow removal company at O'Hare Airport, my wife has to plow. She finds it nice to be able to be in a warm environment while cleaning the driveway. The electrical controls were easy to install and use.

As for the customer service received through AAG, OUTSTANDING! I was contacted by AAG because my billing address did not match the shipping address. Way to look out for your customer. As for the plow... Well, let's just say I'm NOT impressed with the engineering of the plow. I expected a one piece blade design. The two piece / split design (for shipping convenience) is very weak, especially at the seam. I have plowed twice with it. The center joining flanges have bent and broken at least two welds. I will have to repair it. I can see it needs a piece of angle iron bolted along the top of the plow blade (where there are mounting holes already) to span the center joint and strengthen/reinforce the blade. I would have preferred to pay for shipping to receive a one piece blade.

I purchased the electric lift home plow with receiver for my 2012 F150. After opening the product I was impressed with the weight and quality. It is definitely no commercial grade plow, but MUCH nicer than anything else I've seen in this price range. Pros: easy assembly. Quality parts. Very easy wiring. Function is great. Easy on/off for capable single person. Cons: of all the hardware parts I received, there were extras of some and short on others. Reviewed the instructions several times to make sure I didn't assemble anything wrong. Just be prepared to get a couple washers or nuts when you're assembling.

Your product is a very competitive product, but I think you should give some adjustments which I will describe below: 1- The manual contains photos that are not very specific and descriptions are confusing. Only a video on youtube gave me the simplest and most practical way of putting it together. It took me nearly two hours to understand how the pieces go and then the video took me 15 minutes to assemble everything and I do have tools that work with an air compressor so it was easy after the video. 2- The remote control fails for no reason I replaced the battery and it was not that, it happened twice. 3- The springs are not adequate for this big heavy Snow Plow they do not keep it up and stable to push the snow. I had to adapt to the corners with straps to be able to complete the Job. 4- The lifter gets stock regularly leaving the Snow Plow with no activity for short intervals. Recommendations: 1- Change the springs for stronger to get better traction of the Snow Plow. 2- The remote control should not be wireless since the constant use makes it lose effectiveness. 3- The lifter should be of better quality.
