Kit installed easily. Handling is improved as expected. Needed to contact manufacturer as one of the parts was incorrect. AAG.com and Hellwig were very quick to respond and Hellwig quickly sent out correct part. Incorrect part in the kit causes 1/2 star reduction.

Direct bolt in, had to use a c clamp to insert bushing spacers into end link, but with enough grease on the bushing and spacer, slid in with no issue. Good setup, uses factory mounting locations, easy to install. Works great!

The product is superb and as advertised, but the installation instructions were vague and inadequate. It took me 4 hours to install and I am still not certain that it is perfectly correct, but it does work very well. The performance is excellent.

Replaced original after doing so on previously owned Dakota. The Ram will be used to tow an RV. I sensed more body roll, similar to the Dakota, along with the towing need. The appearance did not affect my decision because of its location. There were no paint defects and the quality of the unit was vastly improved over the stock unit. My estimate is the stock unit was hollow and weighed about 4-6 lbs rather than the replacement, which was about 10-12 lbs. The performance is improved, as I had to do an avoidance maneuver and the truck responded well. The 2012 Ram is a very good unit except for the extremely light steering feel. I am hopeful the new unit will help with me reducing what I feel is overcorrection as road conditions dictate. I would recommend this upgrade and I am considering replacing the front, too.

Installation went pretty well. Biggest trouble was determining top from bottom of the bars. The bars could be stamped, or a sticker applied marking top and bottom. The bars have made a big difference in cutting down sway when pulling my trailer which has a 1200 lb. ball weight.

Front & rear swaybars are well-engineered, finished well, and fit perfectly. However, several things could have been better... 1) Ends of the bars were worn thru the boxes when they arrived UPS - foam didn't stay in place - need double cardboard in these areas.... 2) Front 14mm "U" bolts were almost impossible to remove--had been locked-in with LocTite... 3) Hellwig should include a torque chart with better directions how to use -- there were a few general torque settings for American SAE bolts, but didn't say whether they were NC or NF threads--there's a big difference. PLUS, Ford bolts are all Metric!!! As an aircraft and motorcycle mechanic, I reinstalled all bolts with Blue Loc-Tite. What is Hellwig's position on thread lockers? Should the use of a thread locker be considered as "dry" threads or "lubricated" threads. A little more work in these areas would make a very good product excellent!

I installed this like most, on my back and on the ground. For Dodge owners, things go easier if you remove your spare tire. My install wasn't as smooth as others have reported. In fact, I'm certain I added a few new terms to the Book of Profanity. Was it worth it? Time will tell.

I had my garage install these (front and rear). Front install went smooth. Rear install caused some cussin. (Directions could be clearer). These anti sway bars work great! GM could learn a thing or two from Helwig. This is the second truck I've use these on - I'm a believer.

The bar works great, its like driving a different truck. I actually installed on a 2010 Ranger because it was supposed to be compatible, but the distance between the curves where the D bushing go seem a little long.

Bolt-on anti-sway bars for the rear of a 2wd Nissan truck. Used to stabilize the roll caused by a slide-in camper after installing air-bags for weight support. Performed well enough, better than before, though it isn't roll-proof by any means. The supplied hardware are all stout and over-designed but the bar itself wasn't terribly thick. Fitment required a little grinding of the axle weld-seams for the supplied u-bolts to fit correctly. In all, $189 spent to add a little greater peace of mind going down the road with the extra 1300lbs in the rear.

The bar and all parts looked good. But, some parts were wrong and had to be cut off. The spacer tubes to the A arms were over an inch-1 1/8"- too long--made the top end at the bar hit the u-joint boot. And only cutting them off could I get all the poly bushings, washers, tubes, and the nuts on the tie bolts. an I can't imagine how anyone who thinks they're "In the the business" could do something so stupid!!

I installed the Hellwig #7642 anti-sway bar on my van today. The installation went well. The only catch was on the driver's side frame bracket, It was a tight fit with the gas tank and fuel lines so close to where the mounting bolt had to go. But, the hole was already in the frame and it was the right size. I had to buy one 1/2 inch nut because one was missing from the kit (there was an extra 3/8 inch nut. I haven't driven the van yet so I can't rate the performance but, with no bar in the back before is would have to be an improvement.

Excellent product works well and to my expectations. UPS delivered carton damaged but nothing was damaged or missing because all loose components (nuts, bolts, bushings) were in a smaller box glued securely inside the carton.

I installed the hellwig front and rear sway bars on my 2001 Ford SVT Lightning to improve on the factory front and rear sway bars that were already on my truck. What an amazing difference. My truck already handled like a bigger sports car. I was amazed by how much flatter it turned through sharp curves and how much more composed my truck transitioned in quick turns.

Really firmed up the truck. I don't have issues taking corners and slowing down like I used too without it. Worth it. I'm not an engineer but grinding down the drivers side was not fun. There could be a way to install without grinding. That took most of the time. The directions could be better.

Installed on base 2wd tacoma. Insructions could use a little more detail,(z brackets can be mounted 2 ways). Probably easier to remove spare tire to do the installation since vehicle is already level and installation process more visible; if lift not avail. ( I did it this way ). Truck handles more carlike, (w/o lo-pros). I don't understand why people with lowered trucks and/or tucks with lo-pros don't add this product!

I ordered a Hellwig 1.0" sway bar from Auto Acc. Garage after searching many parts places for a sturdy sway bar that was strong enough to feel safe with, I ordered the above Hellwig for it's reputation but also because AAG had the best price for this part. The part was neatly packaged and shipping was timely, I highly recommend AAG for your next part purchase especially if you want quality and a good price. -Bill Pissott

Best part I've ever purchased. Truck rides like a sports car -no sway at all. Adjustable with the nuts on the vert bolt rods. Be aware to angle the "d brackets" per instructions to eliminate stress on the rear end tubes. It's a solid ride that I love.
