This Kit is advertised as a 2 1/4 inch exhaust system, however the manifold down pipes are only 2 inch tubing. This is disappointing. The tail pipes are the only 2 1/4 pipes in the kit.

Installed on my '03 ranger supercab. As advertised, this is not a true catback system, it attaches to the stock exhaust right ahead of the old muffler, which is a 2 in. pipe. the new pipe that slips over the original one is 2 1/4 in., so the fit is very loose, I had to basically over tighten the clamp in order to get it to seal, and I still wasn't happy with it, so I ended up ordering a stainless steel band clamp to fix the problem. Also, the tailpipe was way too long, I had to cut approx. 6-8 inches off. Having said all that, I'm happy with the purchase, you can't find another 3 in. exhaust system for anywhere near the price I paid (about $145, plus $8 for the clamp). The turbo muffler has a nice sound, not too loud, and not any drone to speak of. The kit does not come with a tip, so you will need to get that separately, I got a nice s/s tip for around 25 bucks. Installed along with a superchips flashpaq, and gained 1 mpg plus a little seat of the pants performance as well!

Hearthrob was the only full dual exhaust system I could find for my classic Ford Bronco. It was a very nice, quality product with nice mandrel bends and thickwall galvanized tubing. Everything was great except I had to modify the tailpipes to make them fit right. Only other thing is it would have been better with heavy duty muffler clamps, I never use those light duty ones, they arent strong enough to hold bigger pipes tight.

Product is exactly as described. It took less than an hour to install on my 1994 Reg Cab Short Wheel Base K1500. Only one cut needed and as long as the existing flange bolts are not too rusty to get loose, installation is simple.

The only reason this took 30-60 minutes was getting the old exhaust system off. I finally just used a reciprocating saw and cut it off. Everything I got in the kit from Heartthrob was perfect. Everything matched up in every location the hangers had to go, everything was right to spec for My Jeep. Solid Product, well made and every part I needed came with the kit. Easy install!!

Just installed the Heartthrob HVS Double Wrapped Welded rt_perf Muffler and it was a easy install (especially since it was on a lift) and works great. It has a deep but subtle rumble to it. Not loud inside the truck at all, which I do like! The construction is great on the system itself, looks well built with the best metals. Welds are good, solid and clean. rt_perf-wise I seen an increase in throttle response, engine seems to run more smoothly as well! For the price, you can't beat it!

Great system for the money. Easy install, perfect alignment and fit. Even without the cold air intake I installed right afterwards, I saw a increase in power and performance. The engine breathed and spun so much easier than before. The muffler clamps are a little light, I replaced them with beefer ones, but overall a great system.

Overall I am OK with my purchase. I have not noticed a performance increase from the stock exhaust. Fit and finish is OK. I would have rated this product higher if I would have recieved the correct 3 inch hangers for the pipes from the converter to muffler instead of receiving 2 1/2 inch hangers. It was not very good feeling when my local shop already took off the stock exhaust and then came to me because we were missing both 3 inch hangers and two 2 1/2 inch hangers. The good news is I called Heartthrob on a Saturday and by Tuesday I received the correct hangers. Before purchasing I did call Heartthrob directly and asked some questions about the 3 inch, 2 1/2 and 2 1/4 inch systems and they were very helpful.

This is a well designed kit, with all the pieces needed to install. Short-Bed users may find the stainless tips to be too long, with only a slight change of the rear hangers needed to correct the issue. Plenty of hardware and a nice rubber mounts are provided in the kit. A flex joint is provided for any cab/bed movement. Sound wise, it's really very quiet for not having real mufflers. I opted for some shorter hollow tips for a bit more noise, and a better fit under the bumper. All the pipes were bent correctly, with no real tweaking required. Good kit for the money!

I installed the Heartthrob Catback in conjunction with a throttle body spacer on my S10 Blazer. The exhaust kit was complete and a snap to install on the garage floor, with no cutting or welding, everything fit as advertised. There was a noticeable improvement in throttle response, power, and mileage. Sounds great but not loud and has a nice, simple appearance. Would recommend to anyone who like to keep things simple and hassle-free.

Great kit. Sounds good and looks great. It is not as loud as when I first put it on, that was about a month ago. I guess that's typical with exhaust. Definitely go with the stainless steel tips, they look nice. I had to do extra drilling for the hangers, but the exhaust kit cleared my spare tire and hitch. Easy to install. I recommend this kit.

I am a repeat buyer of the Heartthrob Exhaust system. You can not beat the price, quality, sound and customer service. I did have a small issue with this system, the muffler was too short and there was a gap of about 7.5 inches between the muffler and tailpipe. Customer service got right on it and sent me the pipe I needed to complete the project in no time at all. Overall I was still very satisfied with this system and would recomend it to any one interested in a quality system who also needs to save some money.

Well-built, well thought-out & versatile kit. Quality tubing, there's a lot of bends so being mandrel bent = no dimpling. Lots of adjustment capability for different set-ups. I fit this to long-bed, SBC, 700R4, Sanderson headers. Take note of the header requirements. Downpipes have ball/socket flange and are angled for Hedmans only. I had to mod downpipes as the collector angles are different on Sanderson's. "Header Buddies" & some cutting/welding worked great for this. Can't wait to hear it fired up!

This kit is a sham. May be good for some, but not mine. I was installing this on a 2001 sport trac. After installation, the left pipe kept falling off even after being tightened numerous times with a torque, impact and by hand. Then the pipes were interfering with the brake line, and began to burn through them. Unsatisfied with the result, I took it to my muffler shop to get it welded. After about 10 mins, he comes back and says he isn't going to weld or work on it because the pipe is cheap, and it was made completely wrong, and he could do it for $250 new pipes and tips. So, the next day, after $250, I left the muffler shop with a better deeper sounding exhaust for less. And come to find out, the tips on this kit are muffler tips. This kit uses muffler tips, which make it sound less like an exhaust.

I have a 02 S10 4x4 with a factory hitch which seems to be the hardest vehicle to convert. I bought the Heartthrob exhaust with the exhaust tips. I had this system before and didn't really like the tips, so this time I used a Magnaflow muffler and the pipes from the Heartthrob kit. I had to cut the ends of the tail pipes to fit in the muffler and make tail pipe extensions that I made from the extra pipes that came with the kit. My 4.3 sounds like a small block and a noticeable increase in performance. The guys from Auto Accessories Garage were a great help and very professional. I was very impressed on how fast everything came. I'm 65 yrs. old, if I can do it any one can, it just takes time.

Looks fantastic when all is said and done. Sounds exactly the same as the Magnaflow system that it replaced. Install was a pain in the butt though. The mounts are cheap universal hangers that don't match up with the stock locations at all. I also had to chop the pipes down 5" on one side and 3" on the other to make them look right as they came out from beneath the rear bumper.
