Great cover with one exception, the rear panel should have a better release handle preferably in the middle because you need to raise it every time you close the end gate of the truck.

Tonneau Cover was shipped and received promptly. The only trouble was figuring out how to best route the drain tubes. This required slightly trimming the bed liner to go through existing holes in the bed.

Becareful with the instructions, some rails come with the shims preinstalled. You can tell by a small sticker on one of the rails. Second thought, Apply some downward pressure on the rails while installing them to insure a snig fit with the rail cap. These were two lessons I learned installing the F1 on a 2012 F150 super crew. By bed stayed dry through some wicked rain. Other wise I am super pleased with the product and with AAG. As a side note, if you're looking for some extra mpg, I haven't seen any change with the tonneau on or off.

It was time to replace my old vinyl bed cover. I liked the look but hatted having to roll it up every time I needed to carry a load. Also, during the winter it's impossible to roll up vinyl covers. I wanted something that would secure my cargo but also give me full access to my bed without the need to remove it. A fill fiberglass bed cover was out of the question. My bed is kind of short and a roll up cover would take up too much space near the cab as well. The BakFlip fit the bill perfectly. I opted for the F1 model due to the improved build. It was easy to install and took less than an hour. You may need one extra set of hands to help with placing the cover. It also gives a nice look to truck. It definitely has a factory look to it. Even though the top doesn't have a lock itself, you can secure it by keeping your tailgate locked since the release to the cover is only accessible when you open the tailgate. The easy of opening and securing the top is quick and I find myself using the bed of the truck more often now that it's not inconvenient to gain access. I can now use the top in the winter and not worry about cracking the vinyl let alone even being able to roll it up in the first place. When the cover is fully open you really don't lose any capacity. The only thing you do lose is visibility from the rear window. Overall I'm very satisfied with this cover and would recommend for anyone wanting some security as well as easy access to their bed.

I like the way the cover works, but what i don't like is the rubber on the top it does not lay flat it is rippled. Also when you fold it up the rubber gets scratched on the surface and also does not look good at all. This does not make sense to me. Maybe they make something for this.

My Bak Flip arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Your pricing was the best I could find. The Bak Flip itself is an awesome product. I've had the roll up type on previous trucks and the box for it to roll into ate up bed space and made loading some thing impossible the Bak flip doesn't have those short comings. I also have a bed mounted goose neck hitch that I can still use with the Bak Flip partially opened.

Installation was very straight forward - my 2011 F150 has plastic bed rail caps with ridges molded in, so I readjusted the cover the next day so the rubber seals would fit over the ridges (give it a day in the sun for the seals to relax & settle in to place). The cover (F1) is very high quality and looks great. Very easy to use. After several washings & a couple rainstorms the inside of the bed remains dry. Excellent product!

This tonneau cover is very easy to install but it took me about an hour because I was trying to find a place to drill a hole in my bed liner so as it will look good and at the end of the day, I was satisfied with the installation and the product. I will be doing some weather stripping or putting some silicone at the front edge of the rail for some water could get in, not because of the product but it is the cause of my drop in bed liner which has a gap between the front rail and the side rails. I just gave it 4 stars for performance because they should include the tie down rope to be use if the cover in half open and the second fold doesn't have a locking arm which I thought all folds has it but it really doesn't bother me, just giving my own review on this product.

I have an 08 Tundra with deck rails. The install took me probably 4 - 5 hours, mostly due to the deck rail issues. Let me be clear here; the deck rail kit they send is poorly designed and will NOT allow your adjustable deck rail tie downs to be inserted into the rails or positioned freely unless you modify the bolts. The front plate and drain on the tonneau side rails prevent you from being able to insert or remove the Tundra's adjustable tie downs so if you do/don't want these on the front rail insert/remove them before you install the tonneau rails. You really need 2 people to help lift the tonneau onto the truck to prevent damage to yourself, your vehicle, or the tonneau and to have somebody push down on the 2 bolts that hold the tonneau to the rails while you're underneath trying to catch threads. In the end, it looks great and it functions great. It was packaged very well except for lots of aluminum drill curls inside which could have scratched the crap out of everything but didn't and those sticky labels that are hard to get off and needed alcohol to de-gum.

The G2 looks great and works well so far. Installation was pretty easy, except when it came to the drain tubes. They run a little short and are a wide diameter that makes it hard to feed through our Sierra's existing holes. We're hoping to fix this with a fitting and smaller tubing. Instructions could be a little more clear. We received a few parts that were never mentioned.

Overall the product met my expectations. On the positive side the back flip is much more water resistant than I expected. I have been through the car wash three times and a couple of rain storms with no leakage. The hinges and latches work great and I like the low profile. Some areas for improvement are the instructions. There were some long 2 X 5 shims that were not mentioned in the instructions or video. I installed them on my rails and found that the hold down bolts would not line up with the track on one side and the top would not fit between the rails. I removed them and everything was OK. I later found a loose note in the box that stated the shims were only required if you did not have a bed liner. I think they could do a better job keeping the instructions up to date. At least update a copy on the BAK web page.

The cover is great! Enclosed instructions are basically worthless. Definately watch the video on youtube-it explains installation much better. According to instructions, I should have had shims for the installation and I am still waiting for these. Cover is easy to use. I do get water, but I'm assuming it is from the integrated step in my tailgate. This design provides 2 channels for water to get into the bed which I will attempt to seal off with an EPDM or other rubber strip.

The Bakflip F1 tonneau cover is great! Easy to install, durable and looks great. Best truck accessory I've installed so far. I'm looking forward to better gas mileage. You do lose about 4 inches of bed space when it's fully flipped up against the cab but a small price to pay for a great product.

I am extremely pleased with my F1 Bakflip tonneau cover. It was easy to install, but I took my time. It looks great on my Honda Ridgeline. The fact that it remains cool to the touch is important. There is a slight seepage of water during rains and washing, but this is acceptable.

The cover looks good installed, but in practice it takes some careful opening and closing to get it within the rails or to rest on the back window. I believe this is a design limitation since the hinges are made from rubber, each panel can move laterally and front to back. The other thing worth highlighting is that I had some issue with folding the top against the back window. You must fold each panel a certain way (pushing each panel flap towards the tailgate) in order to get the top to rest against the back window. The online videos from the manufacture make it look so easy but maybe that's a result of cover that is well used so that the rubber seals have stretched. If you are looking for this type of cover, this is really one of two of your only options - you cannot go wrong with either the Bakflip or Fold-a-cover.

The F1 is the lightest of the BakFlip models, but in my opinion still to heavy to lift with one hand by time you get to the third panel. My cover is on a 2010 crew cab Z71 GMC, so the bed sets high which makes it difficult to lift the cover up against the cab. I had to drill holes in the bottom of the bed for the drain tubes because using the factory holes would kink the tubes. The cover leaks a little during a heavy rain. The instructions are clear as mud. The rubber on the hinge at the first panel is starting to crack after 2 months of use. We'll see how it goes but this cover might be going BAK.

I got the F1 for my Honda Ridgeline and it looks great. I installed it with no problem and it is water tight. The only adjustments were to the catches on each side of each panel. They needed to be moved out about a 1/4 of an inch on each side of each panel. They are self tapping screws holding it on so it was easy to adjust.

Great customer service, handled delivery issues well. Cover took about 30 minutes to install , have to make sure the side rails are perfectly straight. Tighten end brackets first then center bracket to prevent twisting. Quality seems to be very good. I personally would not put things on top of the cover but does seem sturdy enough. Flips open and closed easily, very light. Looks to seal well, but I still used some sealer on both corners of the front of bed where it looked like it might leak. Drain tube looks to be useless with a bedliner, need to cut the liner for a nice bend to drain. All that being said, this is a great cover.

The BakFlip F1 was a breeze to install on my F150. The cover looks sharp on my truck, even had a few compliments on it when I was opening and closing it at the hotel. I do not do ANY DYI projects and I had it installed in 40 minutes!! Two days after installation we took the truck on a 3,000 mile vacation road trip. It rained very hard twice while on vacation, once while driving on the interstate, once overnight parked at a hotel- barely a drop of water in the bed both times.

The cover is exactly what I expected, works well and is very sturdy. The installation was a breeze. Before I bought the cover I read a review that said the kit included a couple of self-threading screws but the directions do not tell you what to do with them. It was easy to see that they went into holes in the rails near the tailgate to support the rails. The bad news was the packaging appeared to have been opened and re-seal. The cover itself was well protected but the rails were tossed in loose along with some of the hardware. One small clip was broken on one rail and the drain tubes were missing. I contacted BAK by e-mail and they sent replacement parts immediately. I have had the cover about a month now and have mistakenly closed the tailgate onto the cover twice. There is a warning label on the under side of the cover reminding you to close the tailgate BEFORE closing the last section of the cover. I guess I would put a label on top of the cover also.

The cover itself is fine, although I would have preferred similar screws to those in the original truck body instead of straight Philips. The fit appears to be good although there hasn't been any rain to check water tightness and it wasn't enough of a concern to take a hose to it. For us, the primary use is to keep snow out of the bed during the winter. A couple of words of instruction about pulling down on the cables on each side to unlatch the unit wouldn't have killed BAK to add. It's obvious once you see it but when you're trying to get it on the first time it doesn't come quickly to mind if you've never used one and just lifted the cover from the shipping foam to the rails and discovered they'd snapped in too far forward. The drain tubes seem relatively pointless. It remains to be seen how well the provided recess covers keep out moisture.

For the price, the clamps are poorly engineered to fit the taper of the bed and therefor fall off frequently. The rails are retrofitted with shims to counter the taper in the bed, shich basically guarantees the clamps can't set properly. Why not just design it properly to begin with?

Installation instructions were inside folded cover which I didn't open until I was in the final stage on installation so I used internet printed instructions. Everything fit perfectly. Hardest part was removing the #50 star bolts which were Honda factory installed. (ended up using an Allen wrench with a pipe for a breaker bar). I chose this model because it had a hard surface cover (as opposed to soft/vinyl top) and that it fully flipped back to expose the full bed. It installed and worked as promised. The only downside is I can't understand why it could not have been made water tight without requiring the rail channels and drain tubes through the truck bed. It does little good having a cover if it later becomes a problem keeping bed contents dry. Let's hope no such problem develops.

Hard to adjust the cover so it closes (and seals water out at the tailgate) with the tailgate closed first. If you adjust the cover so it seals out water the seal on the cover catches on the tailgate making the cover hard to close. Also, the system to keep the cover open with rods doesn't secure the cover firmly. The sliding adjuster and adjustment knob doesn't adjust tight enough to keep the rods in place and the cover securely against the cab. Other than those issues, I like the cover.

Great solid cover. The rubber left/right edges have a bit of fold memory but it seems to flatten out over a few hours. Moderate rain storms and several car washes have not let in any water yet. Bought this item for my new Sierra after researching covers for the past two years. I had a SnugLid on a previous vehicle and liked it a lot, but it was not very adaptable to different cargo loads (i.e. pushmowers, 4wheelers, etc.) A coworker has the G2 model and I instantly liked it. When I read about the warranty and stronger frame of the HD and F1 I needed to choose between the two. Since the F1 was rated as cooler due to the composition of the material and we have had three months of 100 degree weather here in south louisiana this summer, I chose the F1. After comparing it to the G2, I am glad I chose this model but I am not sure that for the price it is that much better than the HD. I am satisfied with my purchase and the quality, to me, is much better than the Roll n Lock type cover, especially for the price. My only suggestion is that the manufacturer use a stiffer drain line. The one included kinks unless you drain into the floor of the bed. I chose to drain through the plastic cover on the front of the bed but the angles were too sharp. I purchased some black rubber hose for about four dollars and it worked great. Also, when tightening down the two bolts, don't overtighten or it will indent the top of the cover and cause small stress cracks. Other than these small issues, I installed it by myself in under an hour. The shims came in very handy (couldn't get the right angle for the clamps without them). Not completely water proof but good enough. Sitting in the rain, it will leak slightly, but while driving is dry. I would definitely buy this product again. Auto Accessories Garage has some of the best prices I have found and items came in on time and with no damage.

After considering pros/cons of the market leaders, I chose the F1. The first thing that impressed me was the packing material....two foam beds, with the F1 in the middle. Avoids all shipping problems! Ok, installation was very straightforward, only a couple of minor issues. Instructions were a bit sparse, but one could easily figure it out. One thing I did note was that the latches seem to barely catch the rails on each side. But, they were adjustable via the self tapping screws, so I adjusted them slightly to get a better latch connection. The rubber seals seem to relax over a few days, and provide a better seal. Overall, it looks great, excellent choice.

Arrived within a week, was easy to install, and provides exactly what I was hoping for. Only two small issues. The first is that when doing the final "flip" when opening, the cover bumps into the light fixture on the back of the truck cabin. The second is that I have to push down (soft hit with my fist) on the cover in the back corners when closing in order to get the latches to get into the grove.

I have owned various trucks during my 40+ years and have had various styles of tonneau covers. I can now say that I now own the most advanced tonneau cover ever. This cover is hands down the best looking, most effective, and most adaptive cover I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I have only had the F-1 a month and it has outperformed all the rest. The instructions out of the box took a few minutes to review and I took my time with the install but my 14 year old son and I completed the installation in about 35 minutes. Like I said, I was not in a race to get it done. Since its installation this thing has survived a week of the most severe thunderstorms in Virginia which produced a massive amount of steady rainfall, wind and pressure. The F-1 proved itself to me with not so much as a single drop of water in the bed of my 2011 F-150 Super crew. The day after we installed it we went on a 1000+ mile round trip expedition (vacation with the kids) with the cover folded halfway open without a single problem. It was used as a viewing platform for three teenage children (close to 400 pounds) to stand on during a fireworks display with no issues. Did I mention that it looks awesome? A couple family members are purchasing them now for their trucks after getting a look at mine. I wanted to let you all know what a wonderful product this cover is. I recommend products that work and this is one of them.

Installed the Bakflip F1 on my 2011 F150 SuperCrew in about an hour, and that included a trip to Home Depot for a torx bit to remove the old bed liner and tie-downs! It lives up to all of the good things people say about it and more. Right after we installed it I hauled a full truckload of mulch without even skipping a beat. I'll be sure to have Bakflips in all of my trucks from now on!

For the money you cant beat the cover. Went on in under 20 minutes. The only reason it took that long is that I striped 2 nuts. Opens and closes with no effort at all, the only thing I didn't like was the nuts -they seam a little cheap compared to the quality of everything else which was top grade.

I already have a friend asking for the web site, so he can order one for his vehicle. When I first installed the cover, the cover did not seal right, but after a couple of hours, ilooks as if the cover was glued on!

Bought the F1 for my 2010 Silverado crew cab. Great engineering allowed for the greatest access to an already small bed. The cover is solid, lightweight and in conjunction with a locking tailgate, allows you to secure items in your bed. Easy installation. Overall, a great product and well worth the investment. Note - pay attention to shim placement. The adhesive isn't letting go. Ever. As for the vendor, very helpful and friendly. Very quick order processing & shipping.

It offered the looks, security, and functionality I needed for my Ridgeline at a fraction of what the Dealers were asking for lessor quality and performance. The bakflip f1 is great. Installed in a realistic 20 minutes and keeps my bed dry and cargo safe. I Highly recommend it to potential buyers. Although the description states there is a coating that'll keep it cool to the touch, well, this is not the case. It'll get hot enough to make you think twice about bear handing it. At least where I'm from (SE Louisiana). Also I was septical about odering from AutoAccessoriesGarage but I am highly glad I did. I couldn't believe how easy it was to install. Just one wrench. I was done in a few minutes and it looks and works great. The weather stripping fits my bed perfectly and makes a good seal. I especially like being able to use my tailgate lock now to secure my cargo. My only problem was that the small box the side rails came in was slightly damaged in shipment, and I had to straighten a small dent in the rail. No biggee though.

The quality of the F1 is just as good as I expected. The only issue I had was with the utili-track system. The F1 you need to remove the utili-track system from the bed and flip it over. Unfortunately what I did not know is that it was screwed in with loc-tite. Took it to my mechanic so he could pop off the track for me. Broke the first 2 bolts immediately. Net result we left the utili-track in place. Used the clamps in the 4 corners to hold the cover inplace (a 3rd clamp is required in the middle that I was unable to install). Seemed secure, but was a little nervous. Since then Ihave taken the truck on a 1500 mile road trip and the cover held in place perfectly. Ran into a rain storm and not a drop entered the bed. I have lost some of the flexibility of the utili-track system but overall am happy with the cover.

Very pleased. Product arrived on time, packed well, installed in 29 minutes with no problem, fits perfectly, works perfectly. I left off the drain tubes, as it slopes down in the rear and seems like it will drain perfectly well to the rear. The rails do stop the "trunk" in the bed from opening fully, but it still opens far enough that it should not be a problem. Excellent product, looks like factory installed.

I love the look of it, it is very sturdy and opens and closes easily and smoothly Issues were minor but several. First as supplied even with the side rails as far foward as they could go I could not close the tailgate. Solution was to cut off about 1/8 inch from the rear end of the rails with a hacksaw. Second I have had water intrusion on two occasions, the first time the truck was parked off road and with the back slightly lower than the front causing the rails to drain toward the rail. Most of the water ran down and out by the tailgate but a small amunt wound up inside the bed causing minor rust on a favorite handsaw. The second time the truck was parked on level ground and we had a severe rainstorm with winds over 35 mph. The water that came in this time was more and it must have come in at panel joints because it collected in the top recesses of some large plastic "tote" boxes that were located near the middle of the bed and were only about 3 inches lower than the top of the cover. This was a severe rain condition so if it dosent leak during normal rain I will be satisfied. I now keep a couple of the plastic totes in the back and put things thak could be damaged by water in them. After 2 light rains I have found no water in the back.

Very nice cover that's well made. Install is painless, took me about 20 minutes. What keeps the F1 from being a 5-star product is how it limits bed space for hauling. What makes the F1 so good for securing things in the bed limits what you can haul. If you regularly carry 4x8 sheet goods, you need to make sure they don't bang into the tracks on the bedrails. Similarly, if you're loading large objects, you can't have them forward in the bed, leaning on the folded-up cover. And forget leaning tall objects (like the headboard of a bed) along the sides, as they'll destroy the arms holding the cover against the cab. With that said, there's no other cover that's as versatile or as easy to use. Just be aware of the hauling limitations.

Nice and easy to install. Good quality. Drawbacks: the side rails limit access to the "trunk" in the bed of the Ridgeline- the trunk lid can not be lifted all the way up, so you can't get a large cooler into the trunk. Also, there are no tie-down points on the top of the BakFlip F1- it is rated for up to 400 pounds on top, but there is no way to secure the load to the top of the cover.

Very excited when i FINALLY received my F1. Instructions consisted of a small pamphlet with tiny pictures and little to no instructions. Rubber self-adhesive seals and long plastic self-adhesive strips with no mention of them in the directions. Installed the cover anyway. Clamps don't quite work right. Leaked EVERYWHERE. Called Bak Industries for support, talked to a knowledgeable person who knew exactly what my problem was. The plastic strips (in addition to shims) were needed on the back of the rails so the cover would drip into the channel... These are required for all dodge 2002-2009 w/out bed rail covers. Could have all been avoided with a simple one-page instruction for my truck. Other dislikes: drain hoses too big to fit through existing holes in bed, I used smaller hoses. The glow-in-the-dark safety release (like in your car trunk) gets in the way when folding, and finally; instructions, instructions, instructions! Other than all the aggravation, this is an awesome cover for your truck. It looks great. Rated the performance low because I think" it will be water tight. Can't be sure yet."

I had the HD series on my 07 Tundra, but the F1 on my 09 Sierra seems to be alot better. It has yet to leak water like the HD, the panel release cables are easier to grab, and the plastic star nuts mean you don't have to have a wrench to remove the cover. Waiting for summer temperatures to see if it's really cool to the touch, so far its only been 80, but the panels were still pretty warm and this was main reason I went with the F1 over the HD. Guess I will just have to wait and see.

I was a bit confused on the differences between the G2, HD, & F1 after reading on the truck forums but I'm very glad I sprung for the extra cash for the F1. The top of this cover is a bit more shiny than the photos imply -I beleive it's the fiberglass top, I really like it though, compliments my truck very well. This really is the best cover you can buy for your truck. Thanks AAG. -Ted
