Needs a better release, other than pulling on the cable. Added zip ties to create a handle.

The tailgate is beautiful! The guys had a bit of a problem getting it put on the pickup and had to do a little adjusting of the holes. All in all it did not take them very long.

I have been basically pleased with my purchase. The tailgate looks good and seems to perform very well. Only 2 issues I would bring to your attention. (1) in the installation instructions it says to place the plastic slotted bushing in the lower tube on the drivers side. Clearly, it should be the passenger side. The Ford tailgate removed, and the slot in the lower steel tube are on the passenger side. (2) the release cord does not work properly. It runs across the bottom and is dead-ended at each upper corner. Where it is folded over and crimped makes too big a knot and does not allow the release latch to go back completely and does not let the gate latch lock completely. If I shook the gate, the gate fell open. I removed the wire cable and pushed the release latch to the fully unlocked position, and then when I shut the gate it locks in just fine.

Shipment was fast, small damages was taken care of in a very short time. Received new parts Very satified.

Easy to install and fits and looks good. The only negative is I wish it had a better release latch instead of just a cable.

Well constructed, goes on very easily. My only complaint is they did not use the original screws and cable type clamps to attach the tailgate cables. You will need a size 45 tork drive to remove the cables from the old gate.

Good product. On my 2004 GMC 2500 HD, had to remove tailights to get access to install the new latch pins. That was not covered in the instructions but no big deal. Overall, easy to install.

My tailgate arrived quickly and in excellent shape. It wasn't even necessary to remove the lock posts on the truck although I did have to adjust both of them so the gate would line up and close without any effort.
