Satified as I am with this product, it was a bit more complicated than led to believe. Space to attach the hitch to the vehicle is limited. Also, tight fit for the tools.

Installation was a snap. Doing it alone, it helped to use the scissor jack from the truck to hold the hitch in position. Start to finish 10 minutes!

Truly easy to install. I was able to do it by myself with the help of a hydraulic jack to elevate the hitch in place. It took me barely over an hour to install.

Went on easy and the included fish wire made it a snap. I did need a combination wrench since there was an auxilliary cooler that made use of a rachet impossible on the right side internal factory bracket. Had to go buy that since my metric set was oddly enough only odd mm's. I installed it in the lower position option and did not need to modify the air dam. Minimal effect on ground clearance. Just don't tighten the support bracket bolts until the cross bar is installed.

Relatively easy to install. Because the truck is so old some of the holes didn't line up perfectly but they just needed a little manipulating.

Definitely not for a novice to install. Power tools needed, tight places for bolt installment, minimum of two people to lift and place receiver correctly for bolt installment. Looks great, solid piece of equip. Well out of sight when not in use which makes hookup to accessory equip a little difficult. Otherwise working well.

This was the best internet purchase I have every made, fit perfectly and easily, received it in two days. I had to cut a foot off the front of my skid plate to reinstall it, but it still looks great. It would look better with black bolts instead of chrome.

The hitch was poorly designed to fit on the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland With Dynamic Cruise Control. The 30 minutes installation was not even close to the time actually required by a good mechanic. It required creating large holes in the frame. The hitch was too narrow by about 1/2 inch to actually reuse the front tow hooks. The hitch could have been designed to use the existing tow hitch holes much easier. The hitch needs an insert to avoid the dynamic cruise control sensor which comes out, up, and around the sensor. This is the type of design where you just want to make the engineer who designed this product install about a dozen of them, smack him on the head, and then send him back to the drawing board. The hitch did not have to be nearly as complicated to install. The final hitch sits too low on the car and drags when going up my driveway. Curt needs to call the design engineer at Chrysler and have two nuts installed in the frame during manufacture or a bigger hole cut in the frame. The dynamic cruise control sensor needs to be moved higher in the vehicle.

Front mounted hitch, 03 Ford Excursion. Due to reading and talking to others that had this very hitch system, I decided to have an autoshop that is familer with fabrications, this took them about 3.5 hours to install it. It seems fine, just haven't used it yet. Just wish the factory fog-lights could have been reused.

I was impressed with the quality of the hitch. The hitch was received the day after I placed the order. There was a slight issue with the mounting to my vehicle. I had to use some spacers to level the hitch due to the the back portion not going flush with my frame. Some sort of cover on the bottom of the vehicle would not allow the hitch to be mounted level.

The hitch seems really rugged and was easy to install. The only difficulty that I encountered was finding the correct size Torx bite to fit My vehicle. It would have been advantageous to know the correct size when I had to go to the store to buy the bite.
