Owens Products, Inc.

About Owens

The essence of Owens Products can be boiled down to two words: Innovation and Adaptability. Back in 1965, the original Owens Classic produced fifth-wheel hitches and recreational trailers. Over time, they began to produce commercial trailers, and within a few more years they had designed the first aluminum running boards. Before long, they moved full-bore into producing aftermarket accessories, and today they sit at that industry's forefront. It was a natural evolution, one marked by consistent quality.

Owens Products' devotion to adapting to market trends with innovative products has lead to the production of some of the finest parts and accessories on the market today. Running boards, tool boxes, dog boxes, and trailer accessories bearing the Owens name can be found far and wide, for both commercial and recreational uses. When people see the Owens name, they know that quality comes standard.

That's the key for Owens, a family-owned and -operated company. Everything is made in the USA, and made of only the highest quality. As times change, new products will be developed, but Owens Products' manufacturing excellence will never be questioned.

Instructions are a little confusing. Take your time to read them and once you understand them installation is pretty easy. I am a body and paint person of over 30 years and already had an understanding of the install process. First side took a couple of hours with layout and all, second side took 45 minutes.

I thought the running boards were well built, have a good look to them and when mounted appear to be substantial enough to hold up to the visitors we encounter. Time will tell though as we are the roughest 18 mile unimproved dirt road around and the vans get used everyday. I hope they hold up and I do not have to get back with you for heavier duty brackets. They were easy to install for someone that has not used that type of mounting system before.
