My MegaWarrior rack arrived earlier than expected; first win. Next, the quality construction of the metal frame was obvious as I unpacked everything from the box. The instructions were super clear; I was able to install the rack on my Jeep, alone in about 40 minutes. Actually, 10 minutes of that was adjusting the position so the frame was equally distributed and not too close to my rear door clearance. I have yet to put anything in it (so understand my 4 star rating for performance is really based on quality) but but warmer weather is coming soon and I’m ready to get in the woods. Lots of compliments on how it makes the truck look better, too.

Purchased the Yakima MegaWarrior Cargo Basket for our 2003 Excursion Limited. We also bought the extension kit given the overall size of our vehicle and the web tie down system. The installation took less than 1 hour and was able to complete it without any assistance. The cargo basket has meet all expectations and allows an impressive amount of cargo to be carried. We use it mainly for camping adventures but will be utilizing it for our 3-4 Gulf coast trips per year. Excellent product & quality.

I got this rack for my 2000 Grand Caravan Sport that I use as a work van. I got the extender with it and had it together in no time with a medium size nail to align the floating nuts inside the tubing & a #2 philips screwdriver to secure all the pieces. Unboxing, assembly, test fit/alignment, bracket securing took all of 45min. Instructions diagrams were so so but the bracket diagram and info sucked (Hey Yakima you'd better serve your customers by providing close up actual pics of assembly parts) had to figure this one out on my own. Got a hang of it in about 5 min tho. What I wasn't happy about; its an American company that use to be made in the USA, then Mexico, now these are made in Taiwan. :( The paint did come a little scratched from the manufacturer. Overall it does make the van look more bad@ss especially with the extender, it makes a perfect fit on this van. I'm confident it will handle the big fluid transfer hoses that I plan to haul with it.
