The attachment hardware was to short and flimsy; had to improvise.

Well had to take off the old one, that I never really liked then I had to wash all the crud from under the old one then use a ceramic coat to be sure that doesn't happen again. With that out of the way I started installing the Weather Tech bug deflector the installation was quite easy to complete. Pop a couple push connectors, line it up and viola! Now install the bumpers (which seemed a bit small to me) toward the fender over the headlights. It looks great and functions wonderfully. Much better than the old one. Whew!

Hardware not right for F-150. They should try the install themselves. Others have cited the same issue.

The deflector itself is great but the provided means to attach the deflector ended up to be useless. There were four tiny plastic screws that were meant to screw in expandable plastic bushing. When I was able to get a they lined up (very difficult) the plastic screw immediately pulled out of the bushing. I completed my installation using self tapping screws.

Longer than 2 hours if you count the time it took to go find hardware that would work for the mount. Dont waste your time thinking what they sent willwork. Had to find bigger inserts and bigger screws to make it work. This was a pain but after i got it on I was very pleased with the way it fit and looks.

Very happy with this purchase, and the overall product. My previous deflector, which I bought from the local Ford dealer, was installed with FIVE of the bracket/clips that get squeezed onto the hood (like the outer 2 on the WeatherTech guard). Simply put, it wasn't a very good design compared to this one. I would recommend this guard to anyone.

Cheap hardware, the Molly's and screws are so small the screw heads slip through the holes in the deflector. Tried using washers but the screws pulled the Molly's out of the holes. I had to hold the Molly's in to s row in the screws because the Molly's fell out of the holes. Went to auto part store to buy new plugs. Sorry ass cheap hardware. Won't buy anymore Weather Tech products. I have the floor mats which are great, that's why l bought the deflector.

No one from weather tech clearly ever tried to install this on F150. If they had, they would know that you need to remove the rubber gasket and that the plugs are too short and too flimsy to hold both the bug deflector in place. The fix is easy — better directions that highlight temporary removal of rubber gasket and provide adequate hardware to get the job done. Weather tech can and should do better.

The installation was a bit harder than I thought it would be as the clips that attach it to the hood were not the best. I had to go to the auto store and got different fasteners and the installation went a lot easier. Other than that it turned out great.

Item looks good but I needed to purchase longer plastic plugs to connect the hood gasket and deflector to the hood.

It took an hour and half because my first time ever installing one. But like everything I buy new for the first time, once I figure it out how to install it I could do it in half the time. Depends on the product. The Tonneau cover was a breeze.

I had a little problem putting in the plastic sinkers because they are a little to small. Not a big deal. They fit nice and look good.

The quality is good and was easy to install. The problem was the hardware sent with this item is poor quality. The hardware that comes with the product the screws are way too short so I had to run around and find some screws that would work on getting the shield installed. That took an extra hour.

After reviewing several different manufactures I decided to purchase the WeatherTech Stone and Bug Deflector for my 2018 F150 XLT. Reviews of the product and of AAG, and their prices, all showed this to be the perfect match for me. Ordering online was a breeze and I was kept up to date on shipping. The deflector arrived when they said it would in a sturdy box, ready for installation. Installation was fast an easy and would have taken only half the time it did if it weren't for the rain storm mid installation. I am very pleased how this all went.

I ended up ordering two identical deflectors that came with different instructions. One told to look for pre drilled holes, never mentioning weather stripping, and the other told to remove weatherstrip pins. Both came with came with screw and expanding fasteners which were to attach the deflector however the fasteners were to short & small to extend thru the plastic into the hood and expand sufficiently to not fall out of the hole. Therefore had to visit local mechanic to get appropriate sized fasteners. Life would sure been a lot more simpler if the right information was given and the right size products were sent.

Too hard to find holes in hood thru hood seal-bug deflector. Finally used 4-1/4 sheet metal screws took 5 minutes to install. I will never buy again. Very poor.

I was very pleased with the bug deflector, especially because it covers the fenders edge also. The fit is perfect on my F150. My only gripe is the screws and anchors that attach the middle are weak. I replaced them with plastic pop rivets for a factory look. Overall I'm very happy.

The plastic hardware included is a JOKE. WeatherTech should be embarrassed to send out cheap plastic hardware with a nice bug deflector. I had to come up with my own screws that were bigger than the hole to get them tight.

The push in fasteners did not fit the holes in my 2017 F150. Seems a lot of folks have this problem with the parts supplied I went to ace hardware and picked up some new plugs and they worked fine. Other than the plugs this shield looks really good on my truck. Nice and solid.

The install instructions showed a way to use the the push pins to mount the deflector that would not work. The pins where to short and made the install very difficult the pins are very cheap not something I expected from weather tech.

Installed on 2016 F150. Fitment was terrible. The holes did not quite match up to the factory holes, and while they were not far enough off to require re-drilling, they were close enough that some persistence got them to fit with some crooked body panel fasteners. But that wasn't the worst part. The fasteners that were included were way too short, and I had to make two trips to my local auto parts store to get ones that did fit. First trip I got the same ones they supplied in a slightly longer length, but they didn't fit either, because the holes in the truck hood are smaller than the ones in the bug deflector, so even though the length worked, you still couldn't push the fastener into the hood holes. Second trip I got fasteners that were more narrow, and of the right length, and they fit with some force, because as I said, some holes were a little off. The end clips needed to be opened up, but this was in the instructions, just difficult to get right. There is a fine line between too loose to hold and tight enough to require force to clip to the hood. At the end of it all, it looks good at least, but should have come with properly fitting panel fasteners.
