Chevrolet Blazer Exhaust

We have been looking for exhaust options for a 1979 Chevy Blazer WITH 4 wheel drive and STANDARD transmission. Dozens if not hundreds of headers and setups claim to fit, many, most? DO NOT. If you have a similar truck, there are obstacles on driver’s side, ie Z-bar AND passenger side which is a maze to get past starter, through a crossmember, by the driveshaft and transfer case. Even if you are lucky enough to buy the header that WILL miss all that, how are you going to complete your exhaust? I have tried it all, have access to a welder and a pipe bender, and a small pile of headers. Luckily saved the cast iron manifolds which were in good shape, spoke with a sales rep, told him what I had and what I wanted, and waited for my 475 quote plus 80 to ship. NOT THE CASE. For 200 bucks, shipped, I got dual exhausts, hangers clamps and even the donut gaskets. With parts to spare. Everything fit. Nothing hits anything. Exit behind wheels on each side. We did a little something different with the side exits, purely preference. It all would have worked right out of the box. Frankly I would have gladly paid 200 dollars for the head pipes alone. Worth every penny to get past those obstacles and if your patient you can turn the pipes and mufflers to hug that floor from start to finish. Better yet, now that your vehicle is up in the air, and your covered in dirt and mud, that is always the time you discover you need one more clamp. Or a donut gasket. It’s a real big deal when it’s in the box with parts to spare. Lengthy review but I am not a young man, I live in the saltiest place on earth and have done my share of exhaust systems. Old system had 102k miles on it and came off without any problems. New stuff didn't quite as easy as the vague instructions. Right side pipe is really close to the transfercase. Also upgraded to lap band clamps for an even cleaner look. I used thrush welded chamber muffler and it sounds really nice.

Awesome look and sound. I got mine with the stock mufflers just to keep it quiet as this 1987 blazer is one of my hunting vehicles. Best price I found ANYWHERE! My buddy owns and operates a local parts and machine shop and said they couldn't have even come close to the price AAG offered this. Fast shipping and great customer service. I had to remove old exhaust is why it took a couple of hours to complete.

This exhaust systems is a great deal for the price. I have a 1972 GMC Jimmy 4X4 and this exhaust kit fits very well and looks great. The tailpipes came out perfect on both sides. I would definitely buy another Heartthrob exhaust kit. A++++
