The 3D Spider has a soft rubber like finish that feels luxurious and it fits tightly against carpet in footwell These attributes are not found in the Weather Tech mats I’ve used in past. The bottom of mats have little nubs that look like Velcro and prevent the mats from sliding The mats don’t have deep grooves to collect puddles of melted snow instead it has a textured finish that looks somewhat like carbon fibers. I think the deep grooves are an overkill I never drag so much snow into my car that it pools. I prefer the textured finish it resembles more of the original carpet finish instead of a grooved plastic look.

I've got to say, Lloyd must spend a lot of time figuring out how to make their mats more cheaply. This is the 5th set of mats that I have purchased. The last set I bought 10 years ago, and I must say, my old ones are a much better quality than these new ones. When you buy the Luxe mats, you expect them to be something really luxurious. They have a cheap look and feel to them. That said, they're cut perfectly and fit like a glove. I just think I may go with a different company from now on. Fit to floor pans is great. I just came back on a 1600 mile road trip, love the mats! I hit rain, then a rest stop was snow then rain, which provided a good test on the mats.
