I was looking for a floor liner that would protect the carpet better than the OEM mats. I looked at the more rugged options like WeatherTech but we don't have snow unless we look for it. I liked the look of this brand so gave it a shot. It fits nicely and looks much better in a RX then WeatherTech in my opinion. Installation was simple and I have not noticed the liner getting in the way of the pedals or any other safety concerns. The fit is very precise and the quality appears to be high. The only thing I dislike about them is when stepping into the car, especially with damp/snowy/muddy feet, my foot tends to slip out from under me because they are a relatively hard plastic. Heavy duty mats I have had in the past were more of a rubber consistency so there was no slippage. Too early to say how durable they will be. Also, one minor point - on the driver's mat, I would extend the mat to cover the "foot rest" on the upper left side. Many drivers (including me) tend to rest their left foot on that surface and it is only partially covered by the mat. Designing the may to cover that area could be a challenge, but it would be a helpful improvement.
