This is my 3rd set that I have purchased. First set was for a Toyota RAV4, the 2nd pair are for a Lincoln MKZ. those sets are both designed with a raised edge around the entire mat with a secure feeling that no water or dirt will escape onto your carpeting. This set for the Mercedes have are a different design. There is no raised edge. I guess the water is contained in the grooves, but I don't get the same level of confidence with this set. The factory mats are just as good but unfortunately they are black and my interior is tan. Also the rear mats on all three sets look like regular store bought run of the mill products. These are excellent mats; perfect fit for all rows of a Mercedes R Class.
