It seems pickup truck beds are getting taller and taller, making it harder to get into the bed. Add to that oversize tires and lift kits, and you'll need a springboard just to get up to the bed! Finally, a solution - the AMP Research BedStep, an ingenious bumper-mounted step that gives you easy access to the bed, no matter how tall.

Step right up into your bed with the AMP Research BedStep. All it takes is a little tap of the foot to deploy the step. When you're done, flip it back up. The BedStep Truck Bed Step stows up under the bumper and is nearly invisible when not in use. It utilizes precision bearing pins and rigid cast aluminum hinges for smooth operation, strong support, and a long life of maintenance-free service.

AMP Research designs the BedStep for flawless performance in any conditions. The whole step is anodized black and powder-coated with Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) for superior corrosion protection. Its glass-reinforced non-slip resin step pad offers a safe stepping surface even in the face of mud, rain, and snow. Best yet, it bolts on to your vehicle at existing mounting holes on your truck's bumper and frame in under 10 minutes. No drilling, no modifications.

Getting into and out of your truck bed shouldn't be a chore - bolt on an AMP Research BedStep for handy bed access. Backed with a 3-Year, 36,000-Mile Warranty.

The original step I ordered wasn't available so AAG substituted the AMP step for the other one at the same price. The AMP step comes out to the side slightly which the other step didn't which I really like. It took a bit longer to install than I expected but it works great so far. Looking forward to having quick access to the bed of my truck.

If you have trouble jumping up and down from the bed of your pick-up, this is a great solution. An extremely well designed and manufactured product. If you're deciding between AMP and the other guys Be**, spend the extra money and get this one. Install was straightforward with instructions that made sense. 3 bolts from F150 support the arm. This will not hit or scratch your bumper when engaging or kicking back up. It would be nice if AMP decided to put a small piece of 3M clear protective film in the package because I can envision over time that I may scratch the bumper with my foot when depressing the step (see space between step and bumper) Overall a great product and great addition to the F150.

The step is very well made and works well. This is the second truck that I have installed an AMP step on. I can't imagine being without one. An F150 truck is fairly high to get into the bed easily, especially if you are getting in and out unloading. The step is very logical to install and looks nice once it is installed. It is tight underneath the truck and getting existing bolts off of the truck is the most time consuming part of the job since there is very little room to work and not much ability to get much leverage on a socket wrench to loosen sticky bolts. The third bolt up high that attaches the metal flange is the hardest due to small space but this product is very easy to install. The F150 was much easier than my last Toyota Tacoma due to much less room to work on the Tacoma.

Super easy to install but why are the numbers on the brackets not listed in the instructions?? My 8 year old grand-daughter asked me that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was very impressed with the quality of the AMP Research BedStep. Installation should have been quicker but I had to pick up a deep socket to fit my truck bolt. Works as advertised. I hope it holds up for as long as I own my truck.

The Top bolt of the Main bracket and the bolt where the smaller bracket attached to the bumper were not accessible to be torque with my torque wrench after it was installed on an F150 even with a socket swivel and extension. Overall, I am please with the steps performance

Bought new F150 and didn't have the step in tailgate. Found this step at Auto Accessories Garage, they had a good price, free shipping. It installed quickly and looks and works good. Can use this step while towing my trailer. Would buy again.

Installed on a 2017 Ford F150. Unpacked and assembled the components the night before actually mounting on the truck. This took about an hour. Had some trouble with the parts lining up but eventually was able to get them to go together. Needed a breaker bar with a pipe extension to break the large mounting nuts on the back of the truck bumper. Once this was done, and the step in place, I used 13/16 deep socket to re-fasten the two large main mounting nuts and a 3/8" drive 21mm socket with about an 8" extension to tighten the smaller mounting bolt. Once tight, I borrowed the neighbor's torque wrench and tightened per instruction specs. The mounting took about an hour or less and was pretty easy with the right tools. If I had to do it again, I could probably do it in half the time. The Step seems to perform fine as expected, I have a topper on my truck so I'm not sure how often the Step will be used, and if the topper door will interfere with it's usefulness.

The step works as advertised. It's location is perfect. The step fit on the truck according to instructions, but getting to some of the bolts and nuts to tighten them required a socket universal joint and several extension bars. The effort was worthwhile. I've already recommended the step to a friend.

Installed on a 2016 F150 4X4. Step assembly was straight forward and only took 30-40 minutes to install. A definite asset when it comes to stepping onto the tailgate. Step drops down easily for use and is reseated with a bump from your foot. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for easier access to the truck bed.

I had a Ford with the tailgate step in the past. My new truck doesn't have one. This was almost a deal breaker for me as I liked using the step when loading camping gear into the back of the truck. Someone I hunted with had one of these steps on their truck and it worked great for getting in and out of the back while hunting so I thought I could try it. After getting this I am not disappointed at all. To use the factory step the tailgate would have to be down but not with this one. Now I can even use it with the garage door shut since I am getting in from the side of the tailgate instead of the back. If I had this step and the factory step, I think I would use this one 90% of the time just because it is easier to pull down and up. I can even do it with my hands full.

Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. You need this on the newer ford as they do not have a notched bumper. I like the way it folds up out of the way with a spring action. I would buy it again.

Good piece of gear. I was lamenting the fact I didn't get the Ford tailgate step option until I found the BedStep. I like it better, you can use it with the tailgate closed or open, so in the garage, you can pull it out and jump in the bed if you need to. At first the two halves didn't want to come together enough to line up with the large bumper bolts it attaches to on the frame. I put a couple clamps on it to pull the halves together and it went on fine after that. Just needed to get it started. Very strong and well made. Nice addition to the truck. I really like it. Like my wife said, "Wow, that's cool!"

It came quickly and well packaged. I was impressed with the durability of the step. It is extremely helpful for getting up into the bed of my 4x4. I don't know how I got along without one before.
