Amp Power Steps give you an easy, handy stepping surface without sacrificing your ground clearance or vehicle's clean lines.

The AMP Power Step provides a super wide stepping area that's more natural and safe than standard nerf bars or running boards, plus they're made from tough aluminum for a 600 pound carrying capacity. The side steps and motors have been tested in every environment and temperature from 200 degrees F to 40 below zero for proven tough performance. Also available on select models, is the "Plug and Play" feature, which allows you to power your running boards through your vehicle's OBD-II port. This means no wire splicing, no removal of door panels, and since it features a pass-thru harness, you'll still retain access to your OBD-II port.

The steps are great but a little bit expensive. I wish I could afford more of the products y’all sell, if you ever want to send me free things to review I would give a very detailed and honest review on it

So if you're looking at my review your seriously looking to get these for your rig. Reason I made the purchase was after looking at all the current non-powered steps, nothing was low enough to the ground and far enough from cab to make entry and exit easy, safe and comfortable. My wife is about 5'4" with short legs and stock steps really sucked. She could not get into the truck without a lot of struggle. She has issues with her legs not working well. So the solution was to find steps that were lower. After looking at all the steps and power steps I could find online, AMP was the best of the 2 solutions I found. The other power step was way to narrow and flimsy. Only solution was the Amp Research product and they solved all my issues I had with stock steps. First off they are at least 3" lower than the stock steps when deployed. They are at least an inch wider. They have slip resistant finish. OEM steps were really unsafe in snow. Installation was easy for this older owner. Took most of the day and because of my attention to detail, installation came out great. Wiring install took the longest because of care needed keeping harness protected from heat and out of the way of anything that fly up and snag the harness. Follow the instructions. Read them a few time before starting. Get some paint to spray into drilled out holes to prevent rust down the road. Instruction were for both extended and crew cab. Follow them and your install will come out perfect. Do I have any negatives? First I felt they were overpriced till I got them installed and started to use them. Never used the stock ones, ever. They just sucked. These retract and look real good and will provide the needed clearance when the snow comes. You won`t have to chisel the ice off like you would with the original steps. Now comes the test of time. Will see how they perform when it gets colder and snowy. One thing I will do from time to time is to hit them when deployed at the car wash and then spray the pins in the arms with lube when I get home and they dry out. Last is a 5 year warranty.
