I didn’t want running boards because of the loss of ground clearance, but I’ve got a family and it was a pain getting the little ones in and out. These tuck fairly close to the rockers so the loss is minimal. I love the design and look of these, although the truck doesn’t look as tall now. Install is pretty simple. I wasn’t expecting drilling, but it’s not a big deal. It’s just two 1/4” holes on each side to attach the rear support brackets. Also the bolt plate that attaches the boards to the brackets needed to be ground down a bit on the driver side center support in order to fit. I like the finish, but I think I’ll have them LINE-X coated when I have my bed done.
