Instructions are very well written and easy to follow. However, I would not recommend a self-installation to someone who is not mechanically inclined or has limited access to tools. I had to use a half inch electric drill to drill the 7/16" holes, since I did not have a 7/16" bit with a 3/8 in. shank. The prelim fitting to mark hole placement, the disassembly, drilling and the final assembly is what takes the time. Having access to a car lift would have help expedite the job, I didn't. All in all the installation is challenging but doable.

The running boards give my explorer a finished, crip look, and make it easier for some passengers to get in and out of the vehicle. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Customer service was kind and very professional. The installation took longer than expected, but the boards look impressive on the explorer. Well worth the money spent.

I used ramps to get car up enough to work under. The most difficult part was drilling the holes but in the end, the running boards look great. Highly recommend.
