Westin Pro Traxx Oval Nerf Bars 21-23565

I was looking for something in-between blingy runners, and cheap when I chose these Nerfs. I think these strike a great compromise between looks, functionality, and price. Rated at 300 pounds, I can say there is no flexing at 200 pounds. The finish is a nice satin without being too shiny. Let's face it, these things are going to be walked on every day, they're going to get nicked, dinged, and scratched. They look to be durable - more on that in a bit. If you're looking for a decent price-pointed bar, I would definitely recommend these. The step material is grippy enough, but it's plastic. It doesn't move around at all, and covers pretty much any place a person would use to step up into the truck - front and back. I'm not sure if it's replaceable. If you use the bar to step up and clean the front windshield, you'll be standing on the bare bar. I found the instructions a bit confusing, and ended up calling Auto Accessories for some clarifactions - the support agent had me in the right direction quickly, allowing to me to finish the installation easily. These bars use 3 different kinds of mount brackets across the 6 mount points - skipping to the last page of the instructions for the exploded view of the installation shows the best picture. Trying to resolve it against the written instructions was tough though. The shipping was the biggest issue. Either the carton was damaged prior to pick-up, or FedEx destroyed it en route. An entire end of the carton was ripped off, with the contents hanging out. Nothing was missing, and while there were some minor scratches to one of the bars, I decided to take a compensation offer from Auto Accessories and install them as is. To their credit, they offered to take the shipment back for a refund or exchange - but this seemed fair so I took it. The limited amount of damage to the finish when compared to carton damage is what leads me to believe these will last, and still look good. If it matters to anyone, these bars are made in China.
