I originally purchased my first set for my 2008 Focus back in November of 2014 after getting 182,338 miles (mostly highway) out of my original factory set. Almost one year to the day after I purchased the set of Gabriel's, the passenger side strut assembly had some sort of internal issue that created a loud knocking sound, and had to be replaced. Because this happened less than a week after the warranty ran out, I was SOL, and had to purchase a new one. This was with only 31,552 miles on it. This week I had to replace the drivers side assembly because it had a severe leak. This was with only 43,037 miles on it. If there was a more cost effective way of replacing the strut assemblies, I certainly would do it, but Gabriel is the only manufacturer who produces a ready mount strut for my vehicle, and it leaves me no choice if I don't want to pay through the nose for labor. Not happy with the quality of the product to say the least. If the assemblies were as high quality as they say, they shouldn't be wearing out with mostly high speed interstate driving at an average of 37,000 miles. 50,000 miles I can understand.

The struts came ready to install. With only a couple small speed bumps, they were installed pretty easily in about an hour or so each. Would recommend them!

Part met my expectations. A definite improvement over the original front driver side strut.
