For all its utility, a tonneau cover is a magnet for scratches, scuffing, and damage. The same thing that protects cargo so well and makes trucks look so stylish can, with regular use, become a beaten up, dented, embarrassing eyesore. Unless, of course, hardworking men and women use a BakFlip FiberMax Tonneau Cover.

The secret to this tonneau's durability is a fiberglass reinforced polymer top layer that resists denting, scratching, and scuffing. Never again worry about your investment being damaged into obsolescence, not when this top layer works with a heavy-duty aluminum bottom layer guaranteed to maintain its structural integrity in any weather conditions and a 2 lbs. core for uniform strength. The simple-to-install BakFlip FiberMax Tonneau Cover features rubber bumpers that protect your truck bed, truck cab, and rear window from accidental damage caused by shifting cargo, and a hinge design prevents rain and snow from damaging your cargo. This tonneau can also be easily folded up into a variety of positions, and even removed entirely, depending on the size of your cargo, and everything is locked away safely when this cover is fully closed by simply locking your tailgate.

Few investments in your truck's future pay off as handsomely as the purchase of a tonneau cover. Ensure that yours survives for a long, productive life by picking up a BackFlip FiberMax Tonneau Cover. Backed by a 3-Year Warranty.

Optional Upgrade: Choose the Standard Bak FiberMax model, or maximize your truck bed's functionality by adding the optional BakBox Folding Toolbox. This truck toolbox is strong, lightweight, easy to handle, and works seamlessly with the Bak FiberMax. (BakBox not available for all vehicles.)

I have the fiber max it has 1 downfall it has 4 panels I thought were great, but one section did not come with any latches and makes it real easy to accesses the back of your truck bed! I asked the manufacture directly and they said it would interfere when you opened it all the way and locked it to position on the back window. I think they should re-engineer it so it's more secure.

GREAT PRODUCT! but include an instruction sheet for assembly. Assembly was not difficult to figure but I ended up with parts I was unsure of what to do with.

I bought a Bakflip Fibermax for my 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 (Extended Cab, Standard Box). It was delivered within a week of the date I ordered it (a day late, but that’s Federal Express for ya!) It was well packed in molded Styrofoam. No damage. No complaints from me. But here’s a complaint: nearly all the reviews of this product state that the instructions are poor. It's an understatement. They are truly terrible - and out of date too. The best thing to do is watch an installation video at the manufacturer's website. My truck has a GM bed liner. I had to cut notches in the corners of the bed liner wall next to the cab. I needed the cut because the bed liner was in the way of the tonneau cover's side rails. I cut the notches about 1 1/2 inches wide and about 2 1/2 inches deep and used them for the drain tubes on the rails of the Bakflip. I also had to cut about a 1 inch square notch out of the tailgate liner. I installed it by myself. It took a few hours. Way too much of that time was trying to figure out whether I needed extra stuff (wedges and top rail liners) sent with tonneau. It was smooth sailing after I watched the manufacturers video. (PS. Yes, you need the wedges on the 2013 Silverado 1500 even the "instructions" would lead you to believe you don't.) If I had to do another one, I'd estimate about 2 hours including the notching. It would be much faster without the bedliner. I've only had it for a couple of weeks so I can't comment on its durability. It looks great, however, and works as advertised. My wife, who is about 5'5" and 125 lbs can make the first two flips. The 3rd and 4th sections are too heavy for her. It’s not water proof. Water manages to find its way into the box, probably through the corners near the cab. It might require a little sealant of some kind. The rest of the cover seals pretty tight. Anyway, the leakage is minimal. I’m not worried about it. Overall, I think this is a great product. If it holds up well I'll get another one for my other truck.
