Bad instructions and customer service.

I singled handed this which took closer to 2 hours to install on my 2020 Tacoma. I believe I could have done it in an hour if the instructions were more precise. It came with a generic instruction and a special instruction sheet just for a Tacoma, I also found online on BAK's website a slightly different instruction sheet relating to the Tacoma. I won't go into details, but with all 3 sheets being a bit different which made it extremely difficult to figure out causing mistakes and redo's. The illustrations were not very clear which added to the frustration, but I got it done and am so far pleased. I did not hook up the drain tubes as of yet, I really hate to drill into the bed and am trying to figure out a way to use the existing small drain holes by coming up with a way to use a tube reducer.

It is a great product and it is very durable. I can utilize my entire bed if needed.

1 week in, so far so good. I took my time installing it, pretty easy. Good insulator, I think it even increased my gas mileage.

Ordered the short bed cover "with rails" when the box arrived very promptly the main directions were on top and were reviewed prior to unpacking. Note these directions do not represent or indicate "with rail" installation. The "with rail" instructions are discovered inside after packing. Thought I was delivered the wrong product till fully unpacked. The pull strings to unlatch each section were not readily accessed from both sides. This was due to the thin cable being lodged within the frame channel and had to be fished out and actually added a bread tie to two sections. Hopefully use will correct. The bulkhead weather strip is more like a foam material verse the hard rubber like material employed for the cab protector bumpers. Looks good, functional protection, long term usage will determine repeat orders.

I have had this cover for a few months now. Some of the adhesive is coming loose, at least one of the holes drilled secure the cover to the rails was crooked. The appearance is awesome; quality and craftsmanship subpar.

Easy to install. Easy to maintain. Looks good, but shipping in the crazy heat made getting the seals not to fold a bit troublesome. Install early in the morning if you live in a blazing hot part of the country.

Great cover. Fits and function are perfect for my Toyota 2018 Dual Cab TRD Off Road. Recommendations on install would be to buy a T30 bit that is for use on an air impact tool, it will be harder and prevent stripping. The second would be when you go to install use a small piece of the gasket (that is not needed and stick a 1 inch piece at front of each side rail. This way when you install the rails there would be a 1/4 inch gap and is more weather tight. Great cover and great price.

The cover was easy to install. The instructions were very clear and made the process go smoothly. It’s a high quality cover and I am very pleased with it.

The cover rails do not sit flush on the bed rails and the tail end of the bed. In the process of contacting Bak in regards.
