The instructions were very thorough. I was especially impressed that there was a separate sheet of instructions specific to my vehicle for the first 5 or 6 steps with the indication that I should then move to step 8 on the generic instructions. It was very easy to install. The reason it took so long is because of the numerous different instruction sheets, two of which both said "Read me first". There was one installation sheet that was totally inaccurate. Because I wasn't sure which instruction sheet was accurate, I watched a YouTube video on installation and that helped me pick the correct sheet.

After reviewing the various options for tonneau covers I decided on the Bakflip MX4 hard cover. Package arrived and I installed it in around an hour that evening. Instructions were clear which made the installation process easy. Shipping was fast and everything arrived undamaged and complete in one box. I am very pleased with how it looks and the simple operation. I gave a 5-star for performance as I'm assuming it will parallel with quality and appearance. Time will tell.

Made of the highest quality, no sharp edges and all joints are sealed properly. Fit is perfect with easy installation if you are mechanical minded. My only fear is the back lip which seats on the tailgate may be able to be pried open. I would recommend this product.

The Bak Flip MX4 tonneau cover works exactly as described. The manufacturer must be quite busy, as it took a full month before they shipped out my cover. A small plastic trim piece arrived broken in the box, manufacturer said they'd send me a new piece right away, but it's been 3 weeks now and still hasn't arrived. Other than that I'm very pleased with it, and it looks great on our new Tacoma!

Robust construction. Well engineered and carefully fabricated. Perfect fit on our 2020 Toyota Tacoma. Water tight fit and provides reliable security to contents in truck bed. Best product for the money. Would buy same again. Very worthwhile investment all the way around.

The design of the product is good but the manufacturing is poor. Aluminum shavings everywhere when unpacked, holes to fastener strap clasps needed to be be cleaned out, full of debris such that fastener did not push through and seal along edge has folded over and would not lay flat.

One thing was a missing sealant on one of the rails. I'm supposed to receive sealant but hopefully it'll be a breeze to add the sealant without any issues. However, looks great on my Tacoma :-)

The MX-4 model was a beautiful addition to setoff my 2019 4-door Toyota Tacoma! The installation was easy (with my mechanical skills) and I took some extra time to get all the alignment as close to perfect to my eyes. I would suggest watching the YouTube video created at the SEMA auto show in Las Vegas by a BAK factory representative showing all functions. To me, the most important feature was being able to open and close the “lockable” tailgate without the need to unfold the cover. This is a huge thing if it’s raining!!!

The quality of the product was s outstanding and shipment was quicker than expected. I had an appointment to get it professionally installed, but after checking the instructions I did it myself.
