The only issue I had is I did not receive the hex key or the lock tight . Other than that I do enjoy the fact the tail gate does not fall as fast as use too.

This is my second purchase on this product, new truck and as always it was easy to put on and install in great use.

This is not good for a 2022 Ford F150. They added two tie-downs on the tailgate. I use them to tie down 4x8 sheets of plywood. I called the Dee Zee company and was told that you have to remove the left one. It never said that anywhere. I would not have purchased that if I knew that. I exchanged it for one for my 2019 Ford Ranger. Good product made well, easy to install, looks good.

I have never been one to work on any of my cars/trucks but even I found this very easy to install, directions very clear. I can now safely open my tailgate with out fear of loosing my grip and letting it drop.

I love his new little added feature to my truck! The only thing I wish is that the lock tight solution, that comes in the package, would have been explained better in the instructions. I didn't realize what it was until i had already installed it.

Quick and easy install, aprx 15 min to install. The tailgate assist does an excellent job on my ‘17 F150, which has a rather heavy tailgate. No excessive noise when operating, sounds the exact same same as a hood or rear window strut. The only negative is the star shaped Allen wrench was a bit too small for the main bolt head. Great product overall!

The tail gate comes down pretty fast and a loud hissing sound is coming from the cylinder. I don't know if it's this particular item or the brand.

Arrived sooner than promised and installation was very simple and it worked perfectly. I do recommend this device.

This product is a great safety accessory to my truck! I have small children and I don't have to worry about the door falling fast causing them to be injured.
