Missing around 10 pieces of hardware from the factory??? Luckily I'm handy and keep extra screws, bolts, washers, lock washers is a spare parts bin, etc. Plastic seems to be thick and tough. Part of the lid was warped and makes one side of the clamp brackets hard to lock. Other than that its great to have access to all my tools on the side of the truck. I'm 6'-3 so its perfect for me to access tools without having to climb up into the truck which is a game changer being that 99% of tool boxes are mounted perpendicular to the bed. I've go no time for opening up a traditional tool box only to see that the tool I want is on the opposite side creating a "dumb ass" moment and having to walk around the truck to the other side to get the tool that I need. Even worse is if you have a trailer connected like I do 100% of the time you now have to step over the trailer tongue to get to the other side of the truck to get the tool you need. Drilling down its safer because now my tools are on the customers yard side of the truck. My old tool box had me stepping over the trailer tongue only to get a shoe lace caught up on the tongue hardware and loosing your balance potentially falling into oncoming traffic. If your under 6 feet in height or less this tool box is not for you as you will have to will still have to step up into the trailer to find the tool(s) you need in which case you should stick with a traditional tool box as your weight distribution is better with an old fashioned tool box. If your that dumb ass that has a lift kit on your truck this tool box is MOST definitely not for you as your bed rails will be higher off the ground again requiring you to climb into the bed to find what you need, not to mention a lift kit reduces your gas milage, makes it harder to get in and out of your truck in general, plus it increases chances of a roll-over in event of wreck. Also, do your research because I don't know, but I "think" that 2500 and 3500 series trucks have higher bed rails from the factory which again will require you to climb up into the truck bed in order to access and find the tools you need. So in summary if your tall, have a 1500 series truck with a stock suspension and your smart then this tool box is a must have.

It's my second one for this truck (both sides). A couple of things to keep in mind: if you're opening the unit to the outside, you may have to move your liner clips (on Chevy) or the center closer gets hung up. The anchor bolts that hold the unit to the brackets are too short - but it's a great product.
