About LiftGator
Justin Russo and Marty Affentranger didn’t waste much time after graduating from Cal Poly with degrees in mechanical engineering. Why waste time when they already had such a great idea in place? The years spent in at the largely agricultural Cal Poly had got them thinking about how people load up their trucks.
Whether it was for recreation – loading up camping gear or sporting goods – or for vocation – loading up tools, cargo, or hay – Justin and Marty saw a lot of people loading and unloading their truck beds. Eventually they came up with a concept that could completely revolutionize loading and unloading a pickup, and they called it the LiftGator. And after creating a prototype, this dynamic duo won first prize in an annual Californian invention convention.
The prize money was put to good use in a production facility not far on the central coast of California. Since then LiftGator has stayed close to their original goal of creating quality, easy-to-use cargo loading accessories. Now with multiple varieties available with various features, LiftGator is a top name in the industry, and one of its most trusted brands.
