The SP Series Intake unleashes your engine's power potential by force-feeding rich oxygen into your cylinders, which improves combustion efficiency. Injen's SP Series Intake Systems feature the Patent Pending MR Technology Process, which uses an innovative step-down process to maintain a safe, reliable air/fuel ratio and provide optimal air flow.

By reaching down behind your front bumper, the Injen SP Series draws in colder, denser, fresher air for stronger, more efficient combustion. More than just a cold air conduit, the SP Series Cold Air Intake is a high-tech, fine-tuned oxygen delivery system. The aerospace-grade T-6061 aluminum tubing is CNC mandrel bent, and the TIG welded brackets are perfectly positioned for a balanced fit inside your exact year, make and model. Plus, everything from the composite flanges to the urethane air filter is meticulously tested and tuned on Injen's in-house Dynojet for maximum horsepower and reliability.

Your SP Series Cold Air Intake's intake tube and air filter are covered by a Lifetime Warranty. Best yet, it's 50-state street legal!

I am incredibly pleased with this product. After installation I noticed a huge difference in my idle RPMs. The car would normally run about 1.2 thousand RPMs while in park. After the installation it sits at about .6 thousand RPMs. During the test drive I noticed a significant boost in acceleration and again once set on cruise control at 75mph my RPMs were about 2 thousand. The actual intake is beautiful and adds an aggressive look under the hood. The car actually runs more quiet, until I give it some gas then you can hear it breathe and it will give you a throaty growl. Cons: Pain in the ass to put on! Had to put the car on a jack and take off the fender well to get the area where the actual filter sits. I would not recommend taking the filter off if you can avoid it. Also when installing the MAFS be careful putting on the stainless steel screws that come with the kit. They have a tendency of rounding off. Overall: I highly recommend this product. Only complaint was the installation, but was well worth the effort. I've used K&N products in the past, but I think I am quickly becoming an Injen fan. Great product, you will be satisfied. I know my Mazda is.

This install was much more difficult than they explained in the manual. The manual that was presented was not in the right order as far as removal of parts. One distinct example was when they talk about removing the air resonator box. They say to "Firmly pull down and out to remove the air resonator box. This may require some aggressive pulling to accomplish." This will accomplish nothing because the air resonator box is bolted in. They also have this attitude with the removal of the bumper, which is clipped in. I have no problems with the actual part. It works as expected. If installing this part I would recommend having more than one set of instructions on placing it in.

Great. Went together well, sounds great, best item for the lancer. Instructions need to include removing fender liner to install which is easier than removing the whole bumper.
