    Just started using the cover, the car has been rained on twice with the cover. This cover gives zero water protection. I have pictures to prove it. This cover isn't worth $50. The cover is HORRIBLE!! It won't let me submit this review without selecting a star, it isn't even worth 1 star!

    As a first time Vette owner, I read numerous articles about car covers and was fairly confused about what type to purchase. My planned usage of a cover would be mostly for indoor winter storage and occasional outside usage during the spring, summer and fall. My research ultimately lead me to this product. I have only used it once thus far but it was fairly easy to install and was very light. It fit very nicely and definitely looked like it was designed for my specific vehicle. When the rain started the cover visibly shed water. When I removed it several days later the car was almost completely dry and virtually as clean as it was prior to covering. However, some water had permeated the cover and several small beads of moisture had collected in several areas. This cover is not waterproof but rather water resistant. I had no expectation that it would be waterproof as my biggest concern was I wanted it to breath (numerous articles I read were very specific about the need for moisture to have the ability to evaporate from under the cover and to have that property you were pretty much relegated to water resistant). I also read that another important part of using a cover is that the cover itself be cleaned so wanted something that I could wash at home. This product identified that it could be washed and dried from home which was a "plus" in my selection. Unfortunately I have no experience with this item on a long term storage basis (5 or 6 months). At this juncture I can only assume that it will perform as I would expect.
