  • Add an extra degree of cooling to your transmission, without any difficult modifications. The Derale Transmission Cooling Pan is designed to reduce the temperature of your trans fluid by simply letting more air flow around it. It's a simple but very clever and effective design that will improve your performance and the life of your transmission.

The Derale Transmission Cooling Pan's design essentially increases the outer surface area of the pan for greater heat dispersion. Hollow tubes run from the front of the pan to the back, letting cool air pass through the fluid and drive hot air out. They function similarly to the tubes in a remote-mount transmission cooler, only they sit right inside the pan. Even the Derale Transmission Oil Pan's black finish is designed to improve heat dissipation.

Keep your transmission oil cool the easy way with the Derale Transmission Cooling Pan. backed with a 1 Year Warranty.

The pan is well made from heavy-gage steel. I had a trans pan with the tubes in it, but this pan is about 3/4-inch deeper. The old pan has been on my 1979 Chevy motorhome for about 30 years and is very rusty. I like the fact that the new pan has a built-in bung for a temperature sending unit.

I Bought this in May and have been running it all summer. My last truck had the MagHytec pan on it and the pan doesn't cool quiet as well as the MagHytec pan but it does help a lot. For the money and the amount it does cool. This pan is in my opinion better then the MagHytec.

Good quality pan. I like the temperature probe port on the side. The cork gasket is junk, should be a reuseable rubber. The pan drain plug seeps fluid unless installed way too tight, a nylon washer may work better.

The product did not have illustrated instructions as it was supposed to, so I'm not sure what ft-lbs the transmission pan bolts were supposed to be tightened to. Also, the temperature port bolt got stuck the first time I tightened it. It leaks around the bolts now using the factory manual ft-lbs, so I'm unsatisfied at the moment. If I get the correct torque then I'll be happy with this product.
