    • A wider exhaust pipe provides for greater airflow out of your engine. Bassani X & Y Crossover Pipes provide consistent flow for greater performance and minimized backpressure in your exhaust system.

    Power X Crossovers are used to connect Bassani's Headers or OEM Manifolds to stock or Bassani AFT-CAT exhaust systems with true dual mufflers. Equalizer brand crossovers pipes are used to connect headers to either the stock or Bassani AFT-CAT exhaust systems on vehicles with single OEM mufflers. All Bassani Equalizer brand crossovers pipes are mandrel bent tubes, and in some cases the diameter is improved to optimize exhaust system performance. If you are upgrading the exhaust system on your off-road vehicle, Bassani recommends using their Power X Crossovers or Y-Pipe crossovers pipes with catalytic converters. Bassani only uses premium cats and all factory emissions connections are retained.

    Bassani 5797X onto 2002 Corvette C5 A4 Convertible with Corsa 14111 mufflers. Corsa with stock H-pipe had a high note range rat-tat idle sound, much louder than stock. Not the low bass idle sound I was expecting but a louder sound I wanted. Added the Bassani 5797X midpipe and the rat-tat idle went away and in its place was a very smooth lower note burble. The sound level dropped quite a bit but was a smooth idle sound. This 5795X with a true x-pipe connection will smooth out the left/right exhaust pulses compared to the stock H-pipe and my case with the Corsa 14111 did lower the exhaust sound level a lot, the resulting sound is just a bit louder than stock system at idle.In retrospect, since the 5795X will smooth out and quite the exhaust sound I should have mated it to the Corsa Extreme to get the louder idle sound I wanted. As for getting a X-pipe to lower or get rid of the popping on decel, the popping is due to Manual transmission. I do not have the popping on deceleration with the automatic trans since the automatic allows the engine to drop to idle when there is no load on engine once you let up on the gas pedal.

    Everything was fine until I went to install the Bassani Xpipe. Bassani missed about a half inch of seam that did not get welded at all, total miss. I had to take the system apart, take it to a muffler shop and have them finish the weld. Don't know that I would buy Bassani again.

    The Bassani X pipe worked with my new exhaust system perfectly. Coupled with the exhaust system the performance and exceptional sound was what my Vette needed!
