Iron Cross HD steps are very nice and easy to install by myself. The AAG web page identifies the 9980 product as 80" when they are actually 74".

I wanted these steps before but didn't get them due to some bad reviews. I love the look of the steps. I also think they function well so far. They are not as heavily as I expected or would have liked to see but they seem to have enough support to work. The installation took about an hour and a half with the truck on my lift. I have one HUGE complaint. I read reviews and a lot of people complained about the hardware. I figured the were just being picky, they weren't! The hardware is a joke! Half of the nuts in the package weren't even tapped correctly. I had to scrounge around and find enough nuts to finish the installation. The washers are thin and week and bent when tightened down. I expect much nicer hardware than what I received. If I had it to do over again, I would take the hardware package out of the box and go directly to the hardware store and replace everything in the bag with a quality nut, bolt, and washer. At the end of the day, the step bars can be a 1/4" thick and as tough as they come, but they won't do any good if the hardware won't keep them attached to the truck. I would like to see Iron Cross step up to the plate and take care of this issue and offer replacement hardware to prior customers or at least offer a discounted hardware option. Other than this issue, I recommend this product.

Running boards look great on my black Dodge Ram 2500. Overall satisfied with the look. Instructions were horrible but other than that they are awesome running boards.

Great product, easy install with a second set of hands or in my case a floor jack. Instructions were pretty straight forward and so was the install. I would call them very low profile, they really tuck up under the truck.

These are heavy well made running boards that make my wife feel secure when she steps on them. The only down side would be the poor instructions for installation. But, I figured out what to do after looking at all of the parts and where the boards would attach.

Great looking product. Thought they would be a little heavier duty. All in all I am happy with the Steps.
