The new BakFlip F1 builds upon the popular BakFlip G2 and HD designs, with even better features and materials. The key element of the F1 is its new fiberglass-reinforced polymer (FRP) top, which makes this the strongest and lightest Bakflip yet.

The BakFlip F1 is built for superior strength, durability, and impact resistance. The fiberglass-reinforced top sits on top of a higher-density EPS core and an aluminum underside for rock-solid structural security. The cores of F1 panels are 35% denser than those on the G2, making them considerably more rigid. The BakFlip F1 satisfies OEM Quality and Rigidity Standards and qualifies as an Original Equipment Part for one of the Big 3 auto manufacturers.

The BakFlip F1 Tonneau Cover installs and operates just like the G2 and HD models. Its panels fold open and lock up against the cab for full truck bed access without removing the cover. Integrated drain channels and seamless water-tight folds keep rain and moisture out of your bed. The F1 latches closed under the bed rails and locks up with your tailgate for total cargo security. The cover is exactly what I expected, works well and is very sturdy. The installation was a breeze. Before I bought the cover I read a review that said the kit included a couple of self-threading screws but the directions do not tell you what to do with them. It was easy to see that they went into holes in the rails near the tailgate to support the rails. The bad news was the packaging appeared to have been opened and re-seal. The cover itself was well protected but the rails were tossed in loose along with some of the hardware. One small clip was broken on one rail and the drain tubes were missing. I contacted BAK by e-mail and they sent replacement parts immediately. I have had the cover about a month now and have mistakenly closed the tailgate onto the cover twice. There is a warning label on the under side of the cover reminding you to close the tailgate BEFORE closing the last section of the cover. I guess I would put a label on top of the cover also.

The Bakflip makes my truck look so much better. The only thing that I am concerned about is when I flip it back it feels flimsy as it stacks. I get scared that the rubber joints are going to tear. But the cover itself is pretty solid. I would recommend this product.

My wife and I installed this cover in our garage late at nite before a snow storm. We did it in about 1 hr 15 min. Love the ease of use. Friends at work have given lots of compliments!!

The product was a simple 1hr install. I first layed It in place to check its fit and while it was still in place I went under it and marked the rails placement. I drilled my holes at that time. I attached the cover, then aligned it by closing the tailgate and tightening it up while inside the bed. The bed has been water proof since its application, 4 months now. Happy with this decision and product.
