    It took longer than I expected. The paint protector strip took up a bit more time than it should. I did not wet them like the instructions said to do because I felt confident I could place it right the first time. I had no problem getting them in place. The soapy water was to let you move it around some to get it in place. I would have to wait for them to dry before installing the mats and I did not want to wait. I think they should put the strips, or something like them directly on the mudflaps to make it easier for the buyer to install them - designed for ease of installation! My biggest issue was that the back flaps did not have all the hardware necessary for installation on my 2016 Tacoma. A bolt with washers and nut is needed on each side because there is no such existing hardware on the vehicle to secure the mats to the 4th hole inside the fender well--back side. Surely they know that. I saw it in a review I read before I bought them but figured they had recognized and corrected the issue. NOT. If I had it to do again, I think I would order the WeatherTech mud flaps. Their floor mats were a perfect fit for my Tacoma.
