Curt Hitches are manufactured to high-precision standards with robotic welding for high strength. The Curt Trailer Hitch is designed to bolt on quickly and securely for a perfect fit on your ride. Before getting hit with a Black powder-coat, the hitch is dipped in Curt's new A-Coat prefinish. The A-Coat and powder-coat cure together to provide amazing resistance to chipping and rust, inside and out. As well, certain Hitches are available in square tube designs that hide the crosstube or a more visible round tube design.

Your Curt Hitch doesn't just look great and fit great - it's also built tough enough to provide years of solid, reliable towing. The robotic welds ensure optimal performance, and the unique sealed Curt Hitch design keeps the elements out to prevent corrosion and rust. The receiver's open-back design makes it easy to keep the hitch receiver clean and clear of junk. Best yet, all Curt Hitches are custom-designed for a precise, perfect fit on your exact vehicle and maximum towing strength. Curt is so confident in the strength and quality of their products that your Curt Hitch is backed with a Lifetime Warranty.

Installation was relatively straightforward. The most challenging aspect was removing the rubber brackets that hold the muffler in place. The hitch seems very sturdy and is attached to the car securely. One, minor complaint: the trailer hitch came with the manufacturer sticker on the surface that is adjacent to the muffler when installed. I was concerned that the paper of the sticker could be a fire hazard so close to a high heat component of the vehicle. So, I tried to remove the sticker. This required a paint scraper and great care not to damage the paint. A more easily removable sticker would be a idea. (I deducted the one star from the appearance rating due to the sticker.)

I am more than happy with this hitch. Installation was easy, especially after watching the short video. starting into a "never having done it before", job like this, there is always the moment of wondering, what if? Not with this one. Thank all of you.

This is an excellent product, fit my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder perfectly, it took me longer than average to install it because I am an old man, 68, but was amazed how strong it is and how well made for the price. Excellent craftsmanship. It shipped to my home in only 3 days. I also purchased a Curt rear cargo carrier from another site which is also equally high quality. It is rated for 500 pounds and is well made. So for less than 200 dollars I got a excellent trailer Hitch and a rear cargo carrier, this means no aerodynamic problems going down the road. I will put the cargo carrier to the test.

Looks great, and tried it out in my neighbor hood with my sons trailer that needed to be moved. The hitch just seemed to be a natural for my Escape. All in all, very satisfied with the quality and installation.

Everything arrived quickly and in good order. There were previous posts that the finish would rub off or would flake off, but Curt apparently has solved that problem with a new painted semi-gloss finish. It looks great and cant imagine that the finish will be tarnished. The pre-drilled holes didn't line up exactly but with a little patience I was able to install with my 17 year old son. It definitely helps to have an extra hand underneath to line everything up. My 19 year old son installed most of the electrical himself and I just helped him with the connection to the battery.

2001 Crown Vic requires bumper cover and bumper to be removed from interior of frame for bolts to be installed in rear. Just a heads up!
