15300 Hitch will not fit a 1970 dodge D300 Truck. Hitch (37") mounting surface too wide for frame. Called Curt and had to measure my frame OD which was 34", Curt recommended 15400 class 5 with 2in receiver.

Best price on the internet. It was comparable to the cost of a class 3 Hitch and obviously the choice was to get a Class 5 if I'm going to pay the same price as a class 3. An extra bonus is most class 5 are round tube, but this is a square tube which in my opinion is much stronger especially in the event of an impact.

Package showed up intact. It was boxed up well. The tow hitch is well made and has a good paint finish. The directions were spot on. I took some extra time in wire brushing the frame where the hitch bolts up just so I would have a good ground contact for wiring purposes on the hitch. The hitch has a proper fit and is secured well with the hardware provided.

Awesome Hitch and a great price. Real sturdy and easy to install took me about 45 minutes by myself. Perfect for 1996 f350. I have a bigger rear tank and no bumper so time may vary.

Excellent fit and finish! The hitch exceeded my expectations. It's the highest rated capacity hitch for these trucks. Install takes 30-60 minutes depending on what year truck you have. Some years had no holes from the factory to use as guides, other frames have most of the required holes. My 1993 Ford F-250 4x4 happened to have 3 existing holes, and they all needed to be drilled to a larger size. This product gets shipped directly from Curt Mfg. They do not package it properly. So, fully expect the box to arrive almost completely destroyed. They ship a super heavy hitch with sharp edges, in a box that is too large and has no padding. Luckily, the hardware pack didn't fall out in transit. This is a common complaint from other reviewers, and my hitch shipped no differently. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the hitch. It's the definition of HEAVY DUTY. It's made of thicker material than the truck frame!

Receiver hitch was to fit 1979 through 1990? F350 cab / chassis ford truck. It didn't fit. Bolt flanges were wider than the frame. I had to rebuild it before installing it.
