The BakFlip G2 Tonneau Cover is the newest generation of the folding, hard, multiple-panel tonneau cover. With the BakFlip G2 you'll enjoy the security of having a locking trunk for your truck, while still having access to your entire truck bed! The innovative BakFlip G2 folds completely forward and against your truck's rear cab giving you access to all of your truck bed without removing the cover.

The BakFlip is also easily removable. All you have to do is remove 2 wing nuts and since the cover weighs only 40 lbs, it's easy to move yourself! Additionally, the BakFlip WILL NOT INTERFERE with stake hole pockets on your truck, working perfectly with tie downs, side rails, overhead truck racks, and headache racks. The BAK BakFlip is also 100% weatherproof, unaffected by rain and snow. It also does not shrink or expand when the temperature shifts. The panels of your BakFlip G2 are built tough from dual ABS laminate over a honeycomb core that can shoulder up to 200lbs. of evenly distributed weight.

This product was fairly easy to install. Ensure you use the provided pieces to shim the cover so it fits snugly. Really need the instructions to be more informative to your particular vehicle year.

I owned a first generation BakFlip for my Dakota and it was ok. This second generation for my RAM 1500 seems to fix most of the minor problem I had with the G1. The G2 looks great. Seems to be built well. Easy to install. Short of someone using a big crowbar, it seems pretty secure. I drove from Atlanta to PA in a steady 2-day rain storm. Its not 100% waterproof, but show me a cover that is? I was impressed how little water actually got in, and I didn't even have the drain tubes installed on the BakFlip's rails.

The G2 arrived quickly and in good condition. The directions for installation were not great but the Youtube video was excellent in helping me make the install. I have little mechanical ability but completed the installation in about an hour. Love the product, so far its just as I hoped.

The packaging is outstanding. The appearance is also outstanding. The Quality is excellent. The website doesn't tell you what size star sockets you need. I had to go get a 40. It is handy to have 2 folks do the last step..attaching the final wing nuts to hold down the cover. The instructions don't include what to do with the self tapping screws even though it is obvious. I haven't installed them as the fit seems fine without them. The self stick tape on one of the plastic cover plates was shot. I ended up using black Gorilla tape to cover the opening. A new plate would be nice. I believe this to be an outstanding product.

Yes, this is not completely waterproof as some reviews I have read complained about. I knew that when purchasing. Looks great and works great. Easy install by oneself. Also added bakbox. Not good if using for a business situation, but perfect for my personal use, by freeing up room in the backseat of the truck.
