Go Rhino Bull Bars & Grille Guards Reviews

Very good product. Nice looking and well built packaging from the manufacturer leaves a lot to be desired. Box came all smashed and beat up because the grill is way too heavy for the box it was packed in. Read more Go Rhino 3000 Series Grille Guard customer reviews.

Al Hussein H from Holiday, FL says:

Item obviously came in multiple parts. I had it professionally installed, therefore I cannot give an accurate review on the installation process. The product itself looks amazing on my truck and has no play whatsoever. I've had two full grown men (400 pounds easily) sitting on the push bar without any issues. I would highly recommend this product! My vehicle is a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500.

Sandra S from Madison, AL says:

Product arrived quicker than expected and without damage. Installation was a pain. My F150 does not have tow hooks which required me to cut out some of the bumper facia, which is in the instructions, and the removal of the air dam, which is not in the instructions. The instructions show that the two bolts for the bracket go in the square hole where the bolts for the air dam were, and then in the two holes forward of the square hole. I did this and then mounted the bracket. Needless to say nothing lined up. So I thought this required more removal of the facia. Well it still didn't line up. Since I removed more of the facia, light was able to shine in the hole. Guess what, there is another bolt hole in front of the two holes that were displayed in the instructions. Once I put the bolts in these holes everything lined up. Installation went smooth after that. I would have given a 5 star rating for everything, except for the installation instructions.

The product arrived with minor scratches, parts and all hardware was included. Instructions were very vague and pics for locating hardware positioning were dark and unclear. Installation took myself a bit longer because I made the cuts in the plastic then heated the plastic with a heatgun so I could mold the plastic around the metal. Also when connecting the grill guard to the brackets instead of holding it up I simply connected the lower two bolts then rotated the assembly up, much simpler than holding it in place. Also used a strap to pull it into final position prior to tightening bolts this ensured that the positioning of the slotted brackets were pulled evenly for good positioning of the entire assembly.

Great looking guard but hard to install by yourself. Very poor install instructions...it's on my truck but I still don't know if it's installed correctly...have been a mechanic for 45 yrs.

I received the box in great condition and shipping was quick. The first thing you should do is lay out all the parts face down and the hardware in the areas that it needs to be. This item does come unassembled but is very easy to put together and made tuff. Start by putting the top peices together first and you will need a torch wrench for the hex bolts. You can tighten down the top peices but I left the bottom step bar and the middle peice loose until I was abe to intall on the truck. Installation was very easy and took 2 people about 2-2 and half hours to put on because I wanted to make sure it was nice and snug. You will need a 18mm wrench to take off bolts from the truck frame, I used 2 wrenches and switched to a socket wrench. Check the space between the top of the brush guard and your hood before you tighten all bolts. I've had this product on for 2 weeks already and gotten a lot of complements. Great product and easy installation. If there was a way to submit a before and after pictures on here I would. This item was installed on a 2014 Silverado 1500.
