Took me longer to install because I'm handicap but someone that moves around well should have it installed under 2 hours. Bolts right now so I did not have to drill out anything. You do need to cut the plastic skid guard out and that is what took the most time because its a little hard to see all the areas that need to be cut out. What took the longest was not installing guard but jacking truck up. No clearance under front end for a big guy. On hydraulic jacks, way under 2 hours for install. Directions were really great compared to competitors especially when it came to taking off and replacing air dams. The air dams were more of a pain than the guard. Powder coat finish was perfect on guard.

I installed this myself and it took me about 4-5 hours. Not bad for an old dude in his 60’s. It could go easier if you have help when you are leveling it, though. I think it looks great. The manufacturer didn’t have any pictures of how it looked on a Ridgeline, so I took it on faith that it would look good and I am not disappointed. It is solidly built and fits like a glove. First, let me say that I did not install this bull bar. I was going to, but considering the difficulty in reading and understanding the instructions, and the minimal ground clearance, I took my truck to a 4 Wheel Drive specialty shop. Based on what I'd read about installing a bull bar, it sounded like this should be a project that could be performed in about an hour or a little more. I took the bull bar and the instructions to the local shop and had the owner read the instructions and the bull bar and brackets. He had never put a bull bar on a Honda Ridgeline and said that he would write up the estimate to be between 1 1/2 and 2 hours, but would adjust down, if it didn't take that long. The job took almost 4 hours to complete, and there were 2 men working at it, for part of that time. The problem was not so much with your bull bar, but rather the time it took to remove the plastic splash guard under the front of the truck, and the modification and refitting of that shroud after the bull bar brackets were attached to the truck. I'm giving the bull bar an "across the board" rating of 4 stars. The bar looks fine. I would have preferred to have a satin or matte finish, because I think it would have looked better on my truck. But, it's only offered in gloss black and stainless steel. I would like to have seen better installation instructions, with much better pictures and/or illustrations.
