The installation of this rock was relatively easy and straightforward. The most difficult part of the install was removing the interior trim pieces, and headliner to expose the bare roof. I would have rated this unit a 5 overall, except I'm not a big fan of the plastic feet that the cross bars mount to. Although, they do seem sturdy enough, once installed.

I received my ProRac utility rack in the mail fairly quickly which was nice. I took my Prorack to an ARE dealer to get installed, because I tried to install it myself and it was just to hard to get squared up. They said it wouldn't fit due to the contour of my shell (ARE Z series) Well after calling prorac themselves they said it would work. Well got it installed and it looks great, doesn't leak. I love the great value of this rack. The most annoying thing about this rack was the install process. If I had a flat top camper shell I would of installed it myself.

Very happy with the overall quality in manufacturing of this product. The instructions were accurate and easy to follow. The only drawback is the adjustment of the cross bar attachments. Alignment of the bolts is difficult.

Overall, appears to be a well made product. However, the aluminum is not black anodized; instead, it is cheap baked on epoxy paint that scratches and falls off. Also, the support under the cross bars is plastic - so expect it to bend under load and not carry the supposed rated weight. The track system is okay; but, once again. the paint scratches and comes off. An okay deal for the price - wish i had paid a bit more for true anodized aluminum and metal spacers for the cross bars instead of the plastic.

Very pleased with the value of this rack. I was quoted over $500 for a similar rack of a different brand and also saw this rack for up to $100 more at a different retailer. Quite pleased with the value for the money of this rack.
