Thought one side would be regular nonsilver material. Visors have to hold it in place. Thought just rear view mirror would hold it.

The fit is pretty good for my 2016 BMW X3, however the quality is much lower than I expected. The pictures looks like a thick, smooth grey material. The item is actually very flimsy and made of the super shiny, "bubble wrap" material found on generic ones from a place like Walmart.

Great shield. Only regret is that they seem to cut the middle top to account for the black insert that has all the radar stuff, but that is not necessary and actually creates a weak dropping area that does not close the windshield as well as it could. I can probably remedy that with a stick-on velcro strap :)
